IN THE BAG:
1 // Shades by Shan The Setting Spray – It’s great! I received a full-sized bottle in my Boxycharm last year, too, and already used it all up. Works just as well as my UD All-Nighter! 5/5
2 // Benefit Cosmetics Fan Fest Mascara – A girl can never have too many mascara samples, right? Dermatologists say that we’re supposed to toss mascaras every 3 months, so I’ve been using mostly samples lately because I can actually finish them by the 3-month mark. This mascara is for those who prefer a bold look. It adds a lot of volume at the base of the lashes and makes them look longer and thicker. 5/5
3 // Innisfree Cherry Blossom Glow Jelly Cream – This moisturizer is perfect for those of us with oily and combination skin, it’s so lightweight and refreshing! Also, if you’re looking for something to use in hot and humid weather. The only con is the fragrance, it’s just too strong for my preference. 4/5
4 // NIP + FAB Salicylic Fix Clay Mask – This is your classic thick clay mask that dries to a crusty layer. Not my favorite formula, to be honest, but I could maybe use it on the nose and chin to remove excess oil and clogged pores. 3/5
5 // Pink Lipps Co Eyeshadow Palette in Mauve Me – Burgundy is in this season! This palette has five fall-perfect shades and will make a great addition to your seasonal makeup collection. All five pans swatched beautifully, but the shimmers were the real standouts here. I didn’t expect to love this palette as much as I did, but now I’m sure I’ll be using it for months to come. 5/5
BOTTOM LINE:
The September Glam Bag was full of surprises! I expected to love the Innisfree moisturizer, but the overpowering fragrance was off-putting, despite the lovely texture and the way it feels on the skin. I also usually re-gift most of the mini palettes that I get in my Ipsy bags for one reason or another, and fully expected to find a new home for this one as well. But it wears so beautifully and the shades go so well with one another that I just had to keep it for myself.
