If you follow me on social media you might remember me promoting the launch of the new subscription service Indigo Beaux. While the beauty box market is very saturated right now, the concept is unique and enticing, so I figured you guys would be intrigued just as I was. Indigo Beaux stands out from the crowd due to their promise to deliver a selection of carefully curated full-sized relaxing luxury items, some of which are SPA exclusives that are unlikely to show up in other beauty boxes. The inaugural Indigo Beaux July 2016 box featured 5 products, and I can’t wait to show you what they are.
HOW IT WORKS:
As an Indigo Beaux subscriber you will receive a selection of 4-5 full-sized luxury beauty and lifestyle products for as low as $59.99/month [if you choose a yearly plan]. The products include hard-to-find niche brands, SPA exclusives, and cult favorites from big name retailers. A portion of proceeds is donated to RAINN charity that helps rehabilitate the survivors of sexual abuse. Click here to subscribe.
CONTENTS:
1 // It’s Skin Formula 10 Serum Syn-Ake [$23, available here] – I am familiar with this brand and even bought a couple products to try when they were on sale at one of the kbeauty retailers I regularly shop at, but I never tried the syn-ake variety. The good thing about this brand is that it’s fairly inexpensive, and while retail price of $23 doesn’t exactly sound like a bargain, you can find these much cheaper in stores that ship directly from Korea. I must say, these serums are quite nice, but as most things in Korea they are heavily fragranced. If you don’t mind fragrance in your skincare, there’s a high chance you will like these. Syn-ake variety contains peptide that mimics snake venom. It plumps up the skin, instantly making the surface look smoother and more even, pushing out those pesky lines and evening out bumps.
2 // Gold Label Lipstick in Private Jets [$14, available here] – I have never heard of this makeup brand before, so that was another interesting discovery. The bullet is very lightweight, and when you hold it it almost feels like you have nothing in your hand. The color is as classy as it gets: medium pink rose with a semi-matte finish and barely there frost to mask lines and imperfections and make the lips appear fuller. I can see this being an everyday go-to color for any complexion. In fact, the company provided lip swatches on different skin tones and they all look great. Click here to check them out.
3 // Beekman 1802 Hand Cream in Fresh Cream [$22, available here] – The first time I tried Beekman 1802 products was at Andaz Wall St. in NYC where they are used as hotel toiletries. I remember loving the body wash! This hand cream is pretty nice, too, but I wouldn’t call it a favorite. What I really love is the packaging though, I think this would make a great hostess gift or a Christmas stocking stuffer for a friend or a family member.
4 // ABHA Candle in Forever Blossom [$16, exclusive] – This zingy floral fragrance is more spring than summer, but that doesn’t matter. I’m the type of person who doesn’t mind whipping up campfire and pine-scented candles all year round, whether it’s January or July. The wonderful fragrance of freshly cut peonies fills the room almost immediately, so my only complaint is that I wish the candle was bigger. Because I love it.
5 // Indigo Beaux Herbal Pillow Rose Lavender & Chamomile [$30, custom-made] – I’ve been meaning to buy one of these aromatherapy pillows but always forgot about them, and only remembered when I needed one. Then the circle would repeat again and again, and finally I have one, thanks to Indigo Beaux. This pillow feels absolutely heavenly, you guys! It keeps the warmth for a very long time, we’re talking hours here. I had it on the back of my neck for a while, and couldn’t get enough of the wonderful fragrance. Definitely a keeper, and probably my favorite item in the box this month.
BOTTOM LINE:
I thought this box was very well-curated. The products were unique, and even the color cosmetics were chosen with mindful precision to look great on all skin tones, because that’s usually the issue when beauty boxes include makeup. As a beauty blogger who’s been around the block for over 5 years it’s hard to be truly surprised anymore, but Indigo Beaux July 2016 box definitely had things that piqued my interest.
Spoiler for August: Each Indigo Beaux August 2016 box will contain a full-sized Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector, that’s $38 value right there. How awesome is that?

Looks like a pretty nice selection. The full size product addition is a good value.
They are all full-sized 🙂
I’m really enjoying my box. I am using every single item in it just about every day! That’s success IMHO
Likewise, Allison, I am enjoying everything 🙂
What a fabulous box! Beautiful presentation and luxury products? Yes please!
Agreed! The presentation is beautiful.
Fabulous box though it’s so heavily scented that I’d be afraid to take a chance on it.
This is definitely a heavily-scented box, the pillow alone made everything inside smell like aromatherapy candles.
I like that the box includes full-sized items, and that one of the items is a candle. Pretty nice.
Candles are always welcome in my house, that’s for sure. I burn through them so fast! *oh I went there, girl*
This box looks pretty amazing!!! EEEEP! I like that lippie.
I think I would have been most excited by the lipstick!
The Goat Milk Hand Cream Looks goooood
