Brows rule Instagram, it’s a fact. Every time we see a selfie with the perfect pair of “frames”, we instantly know that it’s going to be regrammed a million times. Sometimes these works of art are so perfect that they don’t even look humanly achievable, but with the right products even a beginner can rock #EyebrowsonFleek, and new Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencils make creating great arches easier than ever.
First of all, the range of colors is impressive! Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencils come in 9 wearable shades:
- Platinum Blonde – for platinum and cool blonde hair
- Blonde – for light to medium neutral blonde hair
- Warm Blonde – for dark/strawberry blonde hair
- Auburn – for medium to deep red hair
- Soft Brunette – for light to medium cool brown hair
- Warm Brunette – for warm medium brown hair
- Dark Brunette – for deep brown hair with warm undertones
- Ash – for gray and dark brown hair with cool undertones
- Natural Black – for darkest brown or black hair
The first thing I noticed about these pencils is the unique triangular tip, which is something I haven’t seen before. That shape is perfect for sculpting with broad strokes using one end, and then drawing the individual hairs with another, which creates a very natural look.
Hourglass also combined powder, pencil, and wax in this formula, so you won’t need any additional products to prep or set your brows. The color is buildable, so it’s easy to create brows that can look either very natural or very bold with just a few extra strokes. That explains why it felt a little stiff at first, but eventually the pigment melted into my skin and stayed on all day without budging.
Swatch reference: My skin tone is between MAC NC15 and NW15 with yellowish hue and neutral undertones. Sometimes I can wear NW20 in the Summer. I thought this would be useful to know, since all screens show colors differently, and I also don’t have a studio setup with consistent lighting. Hope that helps!
I used Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Warm Blonde for the look above. You can see full product breakdown here.
All Arch Brow Sculpting Pencils also come with a brush attached to the other end. This convenient packaging design really makes these a one-stop for all of your brow grooming needs.
WHERE TO BUY: $32 USD for 0.014 oz. Available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Space NK.

I’m so in love with these! Warm Blonde worked the best for me and I was surprised because normally I go with a shade of brunette. The arch makes them so easy to work with!
Me, too, girl! Soft Blonde was perfect, and I’m not a blonde at all.
These look great. I keep thinking about trying them.
I would love to hear your thoughts on these if you do.
I love these products, they look so natural!
That’s one reason why I’m in love with them!
I looked at these today at Sephora as I put together my list for the VIB event. Their auburn is a good shade for me
I’m glad you were able to find a color match!
I love how natural looking their shades are. Need!
I agree, the shades are beautiful and can fit a wide variety of brows.
Love that slanted tip!
Me, too! Makes it so easy to use these pencils and to draw the perfect lines.
Your brows look wonderful.
Thank you Marcia!
These look so pretty and natural. Your brows look great!
Thank you Tashina!
I love these brow pencils way better than Tom Ford.
Now that’s a high praise, considering Tom Ford is regarded by many as the ultimate brow pencil. I will have to try one to compare 🙂
I have heard great things about these. You have lovely, thick brows!
You’re so sweet, thank you!
I really like the shape of these.
I agree Destany, that triangle shape is so unique!
I love these so much!
Glad to hear that, Justina! Those are pretty fabulous, aren’t they?
These brown pencils are pretty fabulous!
I agree!
That look is #onfleek !
Haha, thank you Nidia!
I LOVE the blue eyeliner you’re wearing in this post! I’ve heard nothing but stellar things about this pencil (and Hourglass as a whole) so this is definitely something I’ll be on the lookout for.
Hourglass is definitely one of my favorite makeup brands! I’ve been a huge fan of their powders.
