Hello Crisp Fall Forever Gift Box

Hello Crisp Fall Forever Gift Box

Shopping for presents can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Although there’s no such thing as the perfect gift, most of us can appreciate small, universally enjoyable treats, like a hot mug of chai tea with a spoonful of scrumptious honey on a chilly winter day. A couple weeks ago I discovered Hello Crisp, an online boutique that stocks unique indie, artisan, and small-batch items, including specially curated gift bundles. Fall is my favorite season, so I was immediately drawn to the Fall Forever ($80) box, that includes four delightful offerings.

CONTENTS:

1 // Harlow Candle ($26 for 8 oz) comes in your choice of scent. You can pick between Fall Forever, that features notes of orange, nutmeg & vanilla, or Bohemian that boasts sweet vanilla and grapefruit. These hand-poured candles are made in Vancouver, Canada with eco soy and feature wooden wick that burns clean and makes quiet crackling sounds when lit. But my favorite thing about soy candles is how long they last – this 8 oz beauty will delight the senses for 50 hours.

2 // Farmhouse Pottery Vermont Farmed Amber Maple Syrup ($18 for 8 oz) comes in a simple glass bottle with minimalist design that looks oh-so-chic on my dining table. The flavor is rich and complex with notes of smoke and burnt caramel, and it’s definitely a step above your average convenience store maple syrup. Any pancake aficionado would love to get this as a gift!

3 // Bee Raw Colorado Sweet Yellow Clover Honey ($15 for 10.5 oz) – my husband and I have been buying raw honey for years, and I always enjoy trying new kinds. Clover honey is one of my favorites, it’s bright and mellow, and a little spicy – a perfect flavor for fall. The flavor profile of honey can vary from harvest to harvest, it’s like heirloom tomatoes – no two taste the same! Bee Raw sources their high quality, organic, and wild flower honey from small sustainable farmers across the US. My honey was harvested in Colorado from wild sweet yellow clover blossoms. According to Bee Raw, it pairs well with chevre [goat’s milk] cheese, figs, and chai tea. Speaking of chai tea…

4 // Par Avion Tea Masala Chai ($25 for 4 oz) is a real treat for tea drinkers, like moi. It has that classic rich flavor of spicy Indian chai tea we’ve come to love this time of the year, and it’s best enjoyed with milk and honey. I like the tea on its own, and poured over ice, too. Keep in mind, this is a premium quality loose leaf tea [the best kind!], so you will need a proper teapot or at least a French press to brew it. Last year Mr. Glamorable gifted me this programmable tea maker, which probably paid for itself many times over, considering how often I use it [read: multiple times a day]. It’s a splurge, but it was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received.

BOTTOM LINE:

The quality of the products in the Fall Forever bundle is outstanding, and they were all thoughtfully selected to complement one another. I especially enjoyed the tea and the honey, they will keep me warm and cozy for months to come. If Fall Forever is not your thing, Hello Crisp also offers other themed gift boxes that include beautiful household items, food, and non-toxic beauty products. The prices range from fairly affordable to more indulgent, so you can find one that best fits your taste and budget. And if you fancy just buying a couple of items individually, they are all available in the online store.

I love drinking masala tea when the weather is chilly – or when it’s raining. It somehow brings out the flavour all the more!

It’s my favorite for chilly weather too 🙂 How do you like yours? I try to avoid dairy, but I like to add a bit of heavy cream and a lot of honey in my cup.

I dont like the smell of soy candles, but I am intrigued by the wooden wick.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:43 am

This one definitely smells like a typical soy candle, so I don’t think the wick would make much of a difference. You should definitely look into wooden wick candles, they’re super fun to burn and crackle like a mini fireplace 🙂 I think I’ve seen the beeswax ones, since you’re not a fan of soy.

It doesn’t seem like much of a deal? I like the concept but it’s only a $4 savings?

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:42 am

I don’t think this was meant to be a deal, as it’s not a subscription service. This is a gift bundle featuring select artisan and gourmet offerings, like the ones you might find at gift shops in touristy cities.

Fun concept! Plus I’m just loving your photos! How do you do it!?

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:41 am

You’re so sweet, thank you! As for the photos, I am just using my super old Canon T1i that I got when it first came out, and default kit lens. It’s all about the lighting really.

That box looks like a perfect winter treat and your photos make it look even more tempting.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:40 am

I hope my pictures helped convey the coziness of the products.

My husband will only use real maple syrup so that would be a highlight for him.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:39 am

I’m sure he would have loved this one, then. It tastes so much better than regular national brand maple syrup, and it seems to be a lot runnier too. I heard that the REAL-real thing is pretty runny because it’s fresh and without added thickeners (to mimic honey-like consistency that people are used to) but never actually tried it before.

What a thoughful box. Lots of things to break into more gifts too!

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:38 am

I can definitely appreciate the thought that went into curation of these products. And I agree, this is basically four gifts in one. Each product would make an excellent present.

  8. November 20, 2017 / 9:18 pm

I’d be happy to receive this as a present

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:37 am

I would, too 🙂 I could totally go for another one.

it looks like a nice array of cozy winter comfort items. It would make an excellent gift.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:37 am

I agree! The products are so high quality, too.

The price tag is a bit high, but the packaging and quality of the products are exceptional.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:36 am

I agree, it’s a bit steep, but these are all high quality gourmet products. Something you would expect to find in gift shops.

A beautiful box. Would make a wonderful present for lovers of autumn.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:35 am

Indeed! And who doesn’t love a sweet treat once in a while?

  12. November 21, 2017 / 4:58 pm

These all sound wonderful and I’m all for supporting indie brands this holiday season

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:33 am

I always remember the saying about the ‘actual person doing a happy dance’, so I try to support indies when I can, too.

My parents would go NUTS for this! I love it

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:33 am

So would mine, haha! They love honey, tea, and quality maple syrup. Not so much for candles, but I could easily keep it for myself and they would still be happy with the gift.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:32 am

Me, too, I love giving edible gifts that I think the other person might enjoy 🙂 Sometimes it’s hard to shop for someone else, but a nice treat never fails.

    • December 3, 2017 / 10:31 am

Haha, I actually just finished the honey. It was soooo good!
