HASK Bamboo Oil Collection for Damaged Hair

A couple weeks ago I told you about Charcoal & Citrus Collection, but I’ve also been testing HASK Bamboo Oil products that are designed to reinforce weak and fragile hair and nourish it from within. This line is perfect for those with over-processed hair, and I wish I had discovered it sooner when I had a hard time managing my bleached highlights that looked kind of lifeless. HASK Bamboo Oil Collection includes shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner packets, and shine oil in a vial. I got to try all four and I already know how I’m going to use them! Read on for the full review…

HASK Bamboo Oil Collection for Damaged Hair

I’ve been sticking to my conditioner first shampoo second strategy to keep my hair looking airy and voluminous, and this time was no exception. HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening Shampoo [$5.99, available here] & Conditioner [$5.99, available herewere tested exactly in that order, and yes they do make my locks feel softer and healthier, as advertised. I have very fine hair, and to keep it from looking flat I have to make sure there is enough volume at the roots. My biggest concern before I used this collection for the first time was the amount of nourishment these products are going to provide. I need it to be substantial yet lightweight, so that my roots won’t be weighed down. So like I said, using shampoo and conditioner in reverse order gave me exactly that, and the result was actually noticeable.

I found HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening Deep Conditioner [$2.99, available here] too rich, but I bet it’s absolutely heavenly for people with rough, very dry, and damaged hair. Depending on your hair type, each packet can be stretched for 2-3 uses, and in my case I could probably even use it up to 5 times if I just apply it to the ends.

Now that I have a lob, I use hair serums very sparingly. I rubbed a rice grain-sized drop of HASK Bamboo Oil Strangthening Shine Hair Oil [$2.99, available here] between my fingers and quickly ran them through the hair after blow drying to add shine and prevent frizz. Worked like a charm!

HASK Bamboo Oil Collection for Damaged Hair

Like all HASK products, this line smells amazing! The collection is scented with refreshing citrusy lemongrass fragrance that makes using these products especially uplifting on those sleepy early mornings. Formulated without sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors, HASK haircare is as good as it gets at a drugstore price point [they’re even better than some high end stuff].

BOTTOM LINE:

I think this collection is definitely best suited for people who struggle with rough, over-processed, and very damaged hair prone to breakage. The mask pack treatment is really intense, so using it once will probably make your hair look ten times better after the very first use. Personally, I am going to go back to using HASK Charcoal & Citrus line for now, but I will most likely go back to Bamboo Oil after the summer is over to repair my hair from sun exposure and chlorine in pool water.
