Graze Box Review: February 2013 Nibblebox #1

After sampling my previous [free] Graze box I decided to stick with them at least until I get my 5th box which is going to be complimentary as well. I loved the variety and the quality of each snack selection and it’s always fun to try new things.

This week I was sent Bonnie Wee Oatbakes, Love Mix, Summer Berry Compote and Marvellous Macaroon. Currently I’m only having them send me my like and love selections because those are the snacks I was the most curious about. After tasting everything I have one less “love” now 🙂

About Graze:
Graze is a snack food subscription providing over 90 different snack options for you to choose from. Every week they will deliver a box with 4 snacks depending on your food preferences and each one of them is supposed to provide at least one health benefit. Currently Graze subscription is in beta-testing mode and they’re invite-only, so your only option is to use someone’s invite code. By using my code your first and fifth boxes will be free, so you are paying $15 for 5 weeks of tasty noms 🙂

Bonnie Wee Oatbakes

“cheese and chive oatbakes: oatmeal, cheese powder (contains milk), olive oil, salt, chives (contains gluten)

red onion marmalade: red onions, white wine vinegar, muscovado sugar, sugar, balsamic vinegar, black pepper”

These little cookies are delicious and I’ll be keeping them as my “love” selection. Both my husband and I liked the onion marmalade, it complemented the oatbakes perfectly.

Love Mix

“apricots: apricots

goji berries: goji berries

cherries: cherries, apple juice concentrate, sunflower oil”

The apricots and cherries were great but I guess I’m just not a huge fan of goji berries. I know they are super healthy but this mix is just a bit too bitter for my taste, especially since there are other healthy selections that I would like more.

Marvellous Macaroon

“amaretti drops: sugar, sweet apricot kernel, bitter apricot kernel, free range egg white, sweet almond

almond slices: blanched almonds

coconut flakes: coconut flakes

white chocolate buttons: sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk, soy lecithin, natural vanilla”

I’m a big white chocolate [any chocolate really] and almond lover so this mix was a perfect match for me. I enjoyed the tiny almond cookie drops, they were a little chewy and reminded me of tiny french macarons. The white chocolate was pretty nice too, it’s no Belgian chocolate of course but the quality and the taste was perfectly acceptable and delightful.

Summer Berry Compote

“whole grain shortbread dipper: butter, margarine (vegetable oil, water, salt), caster sugar, whole wheat flour, plain wheat flour (contains milk)

berry compote: water, raspberries, strawberries, sugar, blackcurrants, raspberry juice concentrate, corn flour, orange zest”

The cookies were a bit bland but the compote was sweet enough to turn that around. I switched this one from “love” to “like” because I think it would be good once in a while but I wouldn’t want to have this every week.

Disclosure: I bought this.
