Goodies Co. Box Review: November 2012

This review is way overdue, I actually planned to write it as soon as I finished testing everything in my box but I never even got to try most of the items. So before it’s too late, I might as well just tell you about the products I did try and about my first impressions.

They officially launched this November, and released this short video to introduce the company:

Looks like there are several box variations this month based on our profile. I have a theory that if you say that you enjoy cooking you will get more cooking mixes and spices. That’s probably the reason why I didn’t get the quinoa chocolate and received a cookie baking mix instead.

Bigelow Tea Eggnog’n
Yum is all I have to say about this tea. I’m a big time tea lover and always enjoy trying various seasonal teas. Bigelow’s Eggnog’n is one of my favorites this season and I’m planning to stock up on it so I can have it in my pantry all year round. It really does taste like eggnog only without the extra calories 🙂

American Wine Biscuits in White Wine, Shallot & Cayenne
These crackers were delicious and even my food snob of a husband loved them. I don’t know why I expected them to taste differently, but I guess they just looked like plain ordinary thick crackers to me until I actually put one in my mouth. I just kept on eating them and had to force myself to stop so hubby would get a chance to try one. They are incredibly addicting, I couldn’t stop at just one 🙂

Bobby Sue’s Nuts Original Grab & Go Bags
I was excited to see a nut mix without peanuts because I hate them. These individual pouches pack just enough nuts for a healthy snack on the go. Every nut was coated with a good amount of spices, and I thought the overall taste was quite interesting. I might repurchase these again but I’m not sure.

Flourless Bliss Pumpkin Souffle Mix
Okay so this is one of the items I haven’t used yet. I’m currently on a diet and don’t want to overindulge, so I’m saving it for Christmas break when my calorie counting is pretty much irrelevant and pointless. I’ll add an update when I do end up finally making these if I don’t forget.

The Lazy Baker Brown Sugar Pecan Shortbread Mix
Same as the previous item, I will be saving these for Christmas. In fact, I might actually make them for our family potluck this year. I’m sure it will be fun to share these tasty cookies with everyone.

Biscoff Smooth Spread
And another one I still haven’t tried because of my diet! I like the concept of making a spread out of delicious cookies.

Oogies White Cheddar Popcorn
Now I haven’t tried this product yet because quite honestly I don’t really like popcorn. I’m waiting until my husband and I decide to watch a movie so I can offer him some, because he actually eats it occasionally. We’ll see what he says!

And last but not the least…
Goodies Co. Farmer’s Market Bag
This one doesn’t have a retail value, but it was still nice to receive. I like going shopping with reusable bags because it’s more comfortable to carry them home from the car. I really hate it when those plastic bags cut into my tiny hands.
