Unboxing My June Glossybox

June Glossybox will me by last one for a while. I re-subscribed for three months to get a fresh taste of the service, but I think I had enough for now. As always, this particular box took two turtles and a snail to get to me, so I’m writing this review super late, but I hope it will at least provide those of you unfamiliar with this subscription with a general idea about the service. Alright, here’s what I got!

Glossybox June 2015 Review & Unboxing >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableHOW IT WORKS: Glossybox is one of the most popular international beauty subscription services, and now it finally came to the US. Each month Glossybox subscribers receive up to six deluxe-size to full size products from crème de la crème of international brands. At $21/month this is one of the more expensive monthly sample boxes, but the value of your box will always be way above. If you would like to use my referral link click here to join Glossybox. Thank you!

Glossybox June 2015 Review & Unboxing >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableThe first product I noticed was a very generous bottle of Nexxus New York Salon Care Color Assure Restoring Conditioner; it wasn’t big enough to be a full size, but also not small enough to qualify being called travel-size. I am actually familiar with Nexxus’ Color Assure line, and I tried their glossing mist before, which by the way I liked a lot and even purchased, but still haven’t used up. After using this conditioner a couple times, I thought it was pretty nice, but not outstanding – nothing worth paying premium price for.

Glossybox June 2015 Review & Unboxing >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableCity Cosmetics City Lips is a lip plumper that doesn’t sting. Unlike the regular plumpers that should be applied right before your lipstick, City Lips recommended using this one before you go to bed as an overnight treatment, so I did. What initially sounded like a gimmick, turned out to be a fabulous product! I woke up with smooth lips that did in fact look a little fuller than the night before, and all of my dryness was completely gone, too. I am not ready to dish out $35 regularly for it, but I bet there are many satisfied customers over there. Good stuff!

Glossybox June 2015 Review & Unboxing >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableEtre Belle Cosmetics Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturizing Gel is probably the most summery product in the box, because what can be better than lightweight, non-sticky oil-free gel that is full of soothing and hydrating ingredients? To me this felt like a normal aloe vera gel, and at this point I’ve used up my sample entirely.

Glossybox June 2015 Review & Unboxing >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableToo Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is a holy grail mascara for many beauty bloggers, but I haven’t used it in a while, so I totally forgot how much I liked it. The wand is has fluffy bristles that make my lashes defined and voluminous, and the formula has just the right thickness to hold curl.

Glossybox June 2015 Review & Unboxing >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableThere were many different color variations sent out, and I received my ORLY Nail Lacquer mini in Sheer Nude. As the name implies, this is a work and school appropriate shade that can be worn by anyone anytime. I like that nude polishes make my short fingers appear longer, and give my nails a classy look.

THE VERDICT: This box had some nice products in it, and most importantly – very generous sizes. My favorites were a newly rediscovered Too Faced mascara, the ORLY mini nail polish, and of course City Lips lip plumper. Also, there weren’t any duds in the box, which is quite amazing, considering that I can be very picky sometimes!

Have you tried any of the products I received? What’s your favorite volumizing mascara? Let me know in the comments below!

This would’ve been a winner for me, too! I absolutely adore City Lips Lip Plumper. It’s my go-to lip hydrator and it definitely helped plump my lips. I’ve been wearing it for a year now so my lips are getting any bigger but they’re not as dry which is great. I buy it when it’s on sale, which is fairly often, so I end up paying about $15 for a tube

As soon as I saw that she got the City Lips product, I thought of you! I know you like them a lot. 🙂

I’m amazed, Nidia, that you remembered that! Thank you so much for actually reading what I write xoxo

I knew that someone likes this plumper, but couldn’t remember who. Good to know it’s one of your faves, Allison! It’s now one of mine, too 🙂

I’m curious about the higher priced sub boxes, because the samples are always a little more deluxe, but there are just not as many I’d be stoked to get. At least with Ipsy, if I’m not thrilled, it was only $10.

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:40 am

Yes, that’s one good thing about inexpensive subs – if they don’t work out, it’s just $10. Higher priced subs always feel like a commitment, and create more disappointment if something goes wrong.

I quit all subscription boxes awhile back. I would have liked this one though.

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:40 am

I am slowly cutting down on mine – I’ve accumulated WAY too much stuff.

  4. July 10, 2015 / 2:45 pm

This looks like a great box. It’s awesome that so many cruelty-free brands were included!

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:41 am

I was glad to see so many great brands represented.

  5. July 10, 2015 / 10:45 pm

I was thinking of re-subscribing so I’m glad I read your review. To me this is only a meh box & I have all but one of them already.

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:41 am

Glad I could help make a decision! Sounds like the July box was pretty bland.

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:42 am

It’s a great mascara, indeed. I love that hourglass wand shape, it does wonders for my lashes.

Looks like a really good value this month. I have a City Lips gloss around somewhere, I’ll have to give it a try overnight! Can you believe I’ve never tried the BTS mascara? I need to. 🙂

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:44 am

Girl, you have to find it! This stuff rocks, and I didn’t really expect to like it, because I usually hate plumpers. As for BTS, there are tons of great mascaras out there, so I wouldn’t say this one’s the best on planet Earth. If you have others that you love, you probably aren’t missing out. It is really nice though, and definitely up there with other cult classics.

  7. July 11, 2015 / 9:04 am

Now this is a great value! The products in this box are excellent.

    • July 11, 2015 / 9:44 am

Agreed! Good value all around, and all products are useful, even though some don’t seem super exciting, like an aloe gel and hair conditioner.

  8. July 12, 2015 / 12:02 pm

Love the Too Faced mascara. The aloe vera gel sounds like something I’d use too. Pretty good box.

    • July 15, 2015 / 9:42 am

Right? When I first opened it I was kind of “meh”, but after trying everything I am actually very happy I got what I got. There were some product variations in the boxes, and I feel like mine was the best one.

    • July 15, 2015 / 9:42 am

It does sound quite fancy, doesn’t it? 🙂

  9. July 14, 2015 / 1:57 pm

Everything looks good in this box 😀

    • July 15, 2015 / 9:42 am

I know, right? I was surprised there were no duds, because usually there are 1-2 products I end up giving away or tossing.
