Glossybox February 2018 Review
My February Glossybox arrived a couple weeks ago, and I finally had the chance to try everything. This month’s box theme is “Sealed with a Kiss”, and it’s curated with Valentine’s Day pampering in mind.
HOW IT WORKS:
Glossybox is one of the most popular international beauty subscription services, and now it finally came to the US. Each month Glossybox subscribers receive up to six deluxe-size to full size products from crème de la crème of international brands. The prices start at $21/month for a month-to-month subscription, but if you commit for 3, 6, or 12 months, the price goes down a bit. It’s not the cheapest sample box out there, but the retail value of the products will always be way above. Click here to join Glossybox, and don’t forget to use Ebates for some extra cashback!
CONTENTS:
1 // John Masters Organics Geranium & Grapefruit Body Wash & Body Milk – JMO is one of my favorite clean beauty brands, and I especially like their hair and body products. The body wash was very gentle on the skin, and the body milk had a runny lotiony consistency that sank in without leaving a sticky layer. The fragrance was pleasant but not overpowering – just the way I like it.
2 // JJ Young Pore Charcoal Mud Mask Sheet – JJ Young is made by Caolion, a K-beauty brand I was first introduced to by Memebox. They have some great products, including one of my favorite cleansers called Mool Pool. This mud mask is formulated for oily and combo skin types to help unclog congested pores and visually reduce their size. I haven’t tried it yet, but I look forward to it because it sounds like it will work well for my skin type.
3 // Royal Apothic Scrubbie Exfoliating Lip Treatment – Lip scrubs are not my thing usually, because most of them don’t live up to the expectations. This one was pretty good though. Upon the initial application it feels very raw and gritty, but the grit tends to melt away revealing soft and supple skin underneath. I wouldn’t use this every day even if my lips were super chapped, but as a once a week treatment it’s very nice.
4 // Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon – It’s always nice to receive full-sized products in monthly boxes, especially if it’s makeup. This month Glossybox subscribers randomly got either a lip crayon, a lip gloss, or a lip liner. My lip crayon came in this bold red shade that is probably too deep for my preference, but I know several people who would love to give it a try. The quality is outstanding – the formula is on par with high end department store lip products. It’s richly pigmented, long-lasting, and leave a beautiful stain on the lips.
5 // Vasanti Cosmetics Eyeshadow Brush – I think I got this brush before in another box, or maybe it was a previous Glossybox. This is a very nice brush, and it works wonders for cream eyeshadows, so I was using it for my favorite Colourpop pots. This shape is also great for creating a sharp cut crease.
BOTTOM LINE:
I thought this was a wonderful box! I’ve been trying to incorporate more non-toxic and natural products into my routine, so the JMO duo is right on point. I already use their shampoo, conditioner, and soaps, so I look forward to trying other things from the brand. I also can’t wait to use the mud mask – my combo skin has been oilier than usual lately, especially my forehead.

I would be excited to get this one!
I’d say it’s a very nice box too. I’d love the Doucce lip crayon, and the Vasanti brush – two brands I’ve received in my Ipsy bags and that I’ve liked a lot. I’d love to try the JMO body products!
so glad you loved the box!
I would be very happy with that box.
This looks like a great box. For some reason, mine didn’t arrive!
I use to subscribe to Glossybox but I let it ago after a shipping issue that they didn’t want to address. I think I might give them another try because they’ve been looking amazing lately.
I totally forgot about Glossybox. Wow! I seriously need that sheet mask right about now. My pores are angry. lol
This looks like a great subscription box. I wish Sephora Play would include full-size products too…
