It’s been two years since I last bought a Glossybox, but after seeing spoilers for April, I could not resist picking it up. Sounds like the issues I had with the company have been fixed, so I decided to stay subscribed for the time being [I have the May box coming to me soon as well].

Glossybox April 2015 review: Marrakesh Endz Split End Mender & Preventer, Aerin Waterlily Sun, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in Androgyne, Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Serum, and Julep Gel Eye Glider in Graphite Shimmer >> http://bit.ly/1QKiGxd | via @glamorableThis month’s box came in a limited edition pop-art inspired packaging, and featured some of the best products I’ve seen in a box, ever. Unfortunately, one of the samples was backordered, so I had to wait for my package until mid-May, but it was so worth it!

What I did get is some nice weight added to the bottom of my locks, so they looked straighter. If your hair tends to be flat at the top and poofy on the bottom, this thing might help balance it out. I applied a tiny amount to wet hair after washing, and then styled as usual for best results.

Waterlily Sun is a prime example of a floral done right. It has some amazing depth to it, a lot of sweetness that transforms into bitterness, some freshness, that turns into sensual musk – everything a sophisticated fragrance should be. It is expensive, and it smells expensive. The formula is EDP, so it’s more concentrated than a typical Eau de Toilette. On me one spritz lasted seven hours, and even then I could still smell faint traces of jasmine. The bouquet consists of Sicilian bergamot, lush greens, waterlily, jasmine sambac, and musk.

Unfortunately, the color I received takes me *way* too far outside of my comfort zone, I just can’t wear lipstick that orange or I will look strange, to say the least. However, other colors in the collection [except for yellow] are absolutely fabulous! Glossybox definitely put these glosses on my radar, and I even picked up this set while it’s on sale.

Sign me up! I started using this serum as soon as I was done with the pictures, and I like the way it feels on the skin. It absorbs instantly, and doesn’t make my moisturizer roll off in flakes. I obviously can’t report on the effectiveness, but so far I have not experienced any irritation or discomfort.

I’ve tried their lip gloss the other day, and now I have an eye pencil in my hand – both proved to be very impressive! This pencil feels like a gel eyeliner, and has some serious staying power – not even makeup remover could get rid of it, I had to use a combination of cleansing balm and bi-phase remover to properly cleanse my skin. The color is beautiful as well – I received Graphite Shimmer, which is a dark gray with some silvery sparkles. It looks gorgeous on the lids!

Very handy!

THE VERDICT: I think my excitement for this box is pretty obvious – every product inside is top notch, and the packaging makes it all even better. I kept thinking that I should have grabbed more of these, because they would make amazing gifts. Orange lip gloss might not be my personal cup of tea, but there are plenty of girls who can rock it with confidence.
