Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask Review

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask Review

I recently started experimenting with my skincare routine again, and one of the first products I swapped in was a pretty safe choice – Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask ($50). Constantly juggling various acids and other resurfacing ingredients can wreak havoc on the skin, but changing a hydrating moisturizer seemed like a low-risk decision. Infused with Hyaluronic Acid, rosewater, rose oil, and cucumber extract, this airy and lightweight duo was very appealing, considering that despite having a few dehydrated areas, my face can get oily pretty quickly from improper layering.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask comes in a heavy jar container that’s split into two halves [kind of like that Glamglow sleeping duo.] One half marked Step 1 features a clear, brownish Gel Essence, and the other half is occupied by the off-white Water-Cream Mask that creates an emollient and occlusive layer to seal in the moisture, or Step 2. Both sides have a faint rose-cucumber scent, and by looking at the ingredients, it seems that it comes from natural sources.

Switching to this sleeping mask was easy and my skin didn’t need any time to adjust. It didn’t clash with my retinoid serum or with my Niacinamide essence who shoulder most of my anti-aging efforts, which is pretty much all I wanted from it. If I could change one thing, it would probably be the packaging. Even though the hefty pink jar looks lovely on my vanity, it would be more practical to put it in a dual-pump container, like this one from Elemis.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask Review

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask is not a must-have in my routine, and I wouldn’t specifically seek it out when this jar runs out. After all, hydrating products don’t have to be pricey as they are not that expensive to produce in the first place. Still, I think it is a lovely addition to Fresh’s mega-popular lineup of Rose-infused skincare – no wonder this mask completely sold out online at Sephora. The formula delivers on its promise to quench the skin overnight, and I especially appreciate its lightweight texture that will work for those of us whose complexion leans a little oily.
