There are few things better than relaxing in a hot tub with a cup of herbal tea and a nice facial mask on my face. I bet you thought I was going to say “wine”, but I’m not really an alcohol person đ I am, however, very much a sheet mask person, especially if it’s those skin-tight coconut biocellulose masks that hug my face like second skin and really seal in all the goodness.
I spotted Farmacy at sephora.com a couple weeks ago for the first time, and was instantly intrigued about their products and formulations. I admit, it was the packaging that initially caught my interest, but the more I read about the company, the more curious I got. Thanks to Brandbacker I had the opportunity to test one of the brand’s new Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks. The samples were assigned at random, and I got the one I would have actually chosen for myself – Brightening, with purple broccoli extract. Here’s what Farmacy says about their newest creation:
The most finely spun sheet mask available, this coconut gel mask retains active ingredients at maximum levels more effectively. Purple Broccoli extract delivers a powerful skin clarifying action due to the varietalâs high level of antizymes, which possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, in addition to the benefits of chlorophyll, vitamins and minerals.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried a product with purple broccoli before, but I used a Korean serum with regular broccoli in the past, and I loved it. I already knew that my skin responds well to enzymes, so I was really looking forward to trying this one!
These individually packed masks are sold in boxes of three. The coconut gel sheet itself is very delicate, so Farmacy sandwiched it between two protective layers – light blue and white. To use the mask, remove the “sandwich” from the pack and gently peel off the blue layer, then spread the exposed coconut sheet over the skin, tucking in the edges if necessary. Once you’re done, remove the white protective sheet and readjust the gel to better fit your face.
I use brightening skin care quite often these days, and Farmacy’s Hydrating Coconut Gel Mask fits right in with my routine. The effect was instant – my skin looked fresh and soft after just one use, even though it was temporary. With regular use, sheet masks act as skin care rather than an occasional treat, permanently improving the complexion, making it brighter, plumper, and overall more youthful-looking.
P.S. if you follow me on Snapchat, you’ve already seen this mask in action in one of my snaps! đ
WHERE TO BUY: $24 for a pack of three. Available at Farmacy, Sephora.

Ooh I will check these out, I love me some sheet masks!
Yay, sheet mask heaven!
Biocellulose is huge in Asia! I think every mask brand I ever saw in Singapore carried one them. This mask sounds fab!
I first tried one of these in one of my Korean memeboxes, back when they were actually shipped from Korea, and it blew me away. Now I try to buy them whenever there’s a good sale.
I love a sheet mask and this sounds great.
I enjoyed my experience with this one đ
Sounds great I need some extra hydration.
There are several types of sheet masks available from this brand, and there’s an extra hydrating one as well.
that’s such a sheer mask! Very cool. Maybe I can get my hubby to get me a hot tub, if I tell him I need it for blogging….
Deduct it from your taxes too while you’re at it, and sip wine imagining your tax person’s face when they see it :))
I love sheet masks too so I’m going to check this brand!
I think you will like this one, Kath!
Ha you’re so cute in this mask. I love a good sheet mask.
Haha, thank you girl! Nothing better than a good sheet mask đ
These masks are so fun! I love seeing people in them! I need more sheet masks in my life for sure.
Some masks look OK on me, while others make me look like a serial killer, haha đ I agree, I love seeing blogger selfies wearing these.
You had me at coconut gel mask. Nothing like a soak in the tub and a good mask (and wine for me lol).
Haha, yay! I know you love a good sheet mask, since we’re both kbeauty junkies đ
I LOVE a good mask and this one sounds fabulous
It is! I think you’d like it.
Hello – this sounds fabulous. I have a hard time with sheet masks because they NEVER fit well and I get frustrated but I do enjoy using them. I need to try this one.
Yikes, yes, sometimes they’re a pain, when they slide all over your face! That’s one huge bonus about coconut masks – they feel like second skin.
