I’ve been pretty good about shopping my stash lately, and in an effort to use up more of what I have I stumbled upon some long-forgotten gems that deserve the front row seat. A couple weeks ago I finally decided to go through my nail polishes to see if I can make a capsule collection for Fall without spending money on the latest releases. I can say that this experiment is proving to be very successful so far, because I found some colors I didn’t even know I had! Those must have been my blind purchases that I meant to swatch and review, but never did.
Anyway, here are the six Zoya colors I chose to wear for the next several weeks:
- Sansa – deep eggplant with a gold metallic shimmer
- India – deep, luxurious red with a gold liquid metallic shimmer
- Anthea – soft coral-red crimson with hints of dark pink with strong gold shimmer
- Rocha – classic folly red cream with warm undertones
- Chanelle – toasted almond beige cream
- Taylor – full-coverage light toffee cream
I went for a healthy mix of cremes and shimmers, darks, brights, and neutrals that will go with just about any outfit I come up with. I was looking at some other interesting colors, like blues and greens, but to be honest I don’t think they would complement my clothes all that well. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t judge other people for wearing what they like, but when it comes to my personal style I am a little peculiar about my polishes. The colors don’t necessarily have to match my clothes or makeup, but they need to be complementary.

Sansa looks lovely
I have always wanted India and Taylor. I love your idea of a “capsule collection”.
Zoya has a trade in program right now that would help with making a fall collection. I love those first two!
A capsule collection is a brilliant idea! I have to go through my stash and make my own for the upcoming seasons – that should save some $$.
I need to go shop my stash! Love the idea of making a makeup/polish capsule!
