Just in time for Valentine’s Day philosophy came out with a brand new fragrance line loveswept, that hit the shelves in January 2014. The collection is aimed to make women feel loved and irresistible, and the pre-Spring launch was very timely to help us wake up from winter slumber and surround ourselves with this uplifting, yet very feminine and alluring fragrance.

REVIEW
The fragrance comes in minimalistic glass bottles with a romantic heart print, reminiscent of other philosophy fragrances, which I personally like a lot. I think these simple and sleek bottles always look nice and classy on any vanity table.
philosophy describes loveswept as “a vibrant, feminine, romantic and youthful fragrance. by definition, loveswept is about energy and emotion, following your heart and seeing where that can take you and that is the sentiment that philosophy seeks to achieve”.
The bouquet opens up with a fresh breeze of citrus and bergamot, notes that quickly rush to your head and make you feel wide awake. It’s a strong first impression, that “wow factor” we always talk about. These top notes will surely get your noticed.
After a while when the initial citrus rush subsides, it’s time for the fruity-floral middle notes to shine. The fragrance transforms into a sweet and feminine infusion of pink jasmine, lotus flower and passionfruit. It makes me think of a date with flowers, wine, and fruits, and all the flirting that accompanies that setting. It’s a very happy and empowering middle note, that makes you feel like you can capture his heart with just a wink.
Lastly, hours later, the base notes of warm musk and sensual amber come into play. This is the culmination of the night, the scent of dimmed lights, burning candles and the feeling of his lips against yours. The feeling of being completely loveswept.

THE VERDICT
If you couldn’t already tell, I really liked this new addition to philosophy‘s fragrance lineup. loveswept will take you on a sensual journey, and transform with you as your date goes on. The scent lasted about 6 hours on me, which is what I’d expect from a quality eau de toilette.

I like Philosophy, I love their skincare, Amazing Grace is one of my all time favorite favorite fragrances of life (seriously, I won’t be without a bottle, ever!) and I have enjoyed other scents, from time to time. philosophy skincare was mostly a miss for me because I’m sensitive to some ingredients they use, but I really like their fragrances. I agree with you on amazing grace, it’s a cult classic!
Philosophy has great scents. This one sounds nice. One of my favorites is Falling in Love.
