We’ve all been there. Whether it’s a salty dinner the night before, a tearjerking movie, allergies, or simply a bad day, sometimes you wake up with puffy eyes in the morning and nothing seems to help. Home remedies provide only temporary relief until those eyelids swell up again. I learned my lesson long ago to trust eye products designed to depuff and soothe irritated eyelids. Today I am showing you one of my latest discoveries: Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum [$72, available here].
ABOUT THE SERUM:
Formulated to decongest, de-puff, and tone the eye area, this serum provides short-term and long-term benefits that address puffy eyelids and undereye droopiness. By increasing microcirculation, it helps the skin look more firm over time, reducing the crepey and droopy appearance. Armed with a cooling roller ball applicator, Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum provides instant relief to tired eyelids, making them feel comfortable and look more awake.
WHAT’S INSIDE?
- Proprietary ingredients Eyeliss™ and Actiflow® address microcirculation and help strengthen the skin matrix.
- Proprietary ingredient NeoGlucosamine® helps promote firmer and more toned skin in the eye area over time.
- Massaging metal roller applicator provides instant cooling sensation, increasing microcirculation.
- Caffeine helps invigorate the skin, increase microcirculation, and give the eyes a more awake appearance.
- Chamomile, Green Tea and Cucumber provide moisturizing and soothing benefits.
HOW TO USE:
Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum is a very versatile product that can be used AM, PM, and any time throughout the day when you feel like your puffy eyelids could use some love. To start using the serum push the button several times until you see serum droplets appear on the roller applicator. Using gentle pressure, slowly roll the applicator from inner corner to outer corner of top and bottom lids several times and pat in any remaining excess with ring finger until absorbed. Why ring finger? It’s applies the least amount of pressure among all fingers, so you can be sure you won’t press the fragile eye area skin too hard. This serum works well under makeup, too, without making it flake or melt off.
BOTTOM LINE:
I meant to write this post much sooner, but never quite had the patience to sit down and sum up my thoughts. I have that problem when I like a product a lot but don’t want to sound like I’m hyping up a dud, because let’s be honest, there’s a lot of hype about nothing in the skincare world these days. So basically, without going into too much detail, let’s just say that July has been an emotional rollercoaster kind of month for me. And yes, I cried a lot, and woke up with eyes that looked like I got stung by a bee. Home remedies like ice cold spoons, potato slices, cucumbers, and teabags didn’t help much, but Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum did, and it helped fast. No kidding. I thought about attaching a before and after photo, but decided against it because I really don’t want you guys to see my face like that after all. I used Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum all month, and it reduced the swelling like a champ every single day without fail. Sometimes when the skin stays puffy for long periods of time it can stretch out and remain droopy even after the swelling fully deflates, but my skin firmed right up like the crying never even happened. Basically, I can’t vouch for its abilities to diminish more permanent puffiness, but for salty dinners, allergies, and teary nights this thing was my best friend and I will continue to use it from now on.
Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum is available at Ulta and at Exuviance.com.
