Summer makes everyone happy! Every morning when I wake up and it’s shiny outside, I just want to put on those shorts or a tiny sundress and let the cool breeze from the lake caress my skin. I made a reservation with my local center in Orland Park, IL for lower leg and half-arm treatments – both of those areas are tricky for me to maintain, so waxing is the ideal solution. I was greeted by the associate at the reception desk and was immediately taken to one of the spacious treatment rooms inside. By the way, European Wax Center® has a 10-minute late policy in place to ensure that the guests are never inconvenienced or have to wait long past their reservation time.
The procedure is actually very quick – first my wax specialist Caroline wiped my skin with a pad soaked in cleansing solution, then applied some lightweight oil, which felt like something I’d use after a nice long shower. Then she spread the cool-looking, stripless purple wax over my skin with a flat wooden applicator, and gently took it off as soon as it solidified [which took maybe 30 seconds]. No pain whatsoever! Caroline double checked my skin to make sure there weren’t any stray hairs, and after giving it a thumbs up, spread on their exclusive serum that prevents ingrown hair. Overall, my experience was positively recharging. My skin felt smooth, silky, and rejuvenated – I felt amazing and wanted to show it to the world!
