Empties: November 2013

Purchased by Me

It’s been a few months since my last Empties post, but I really didn’t use up enough products to post about it. I was mostly trying to get rid of all the tiny foil samples, which I had a ton of, but this month I actually emptied out a few full-sized and deluxe-sized bottles, and here’s what they are.

Gloss Moderne High-Gloss Masque – It’s a really nice hair treatment, I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. I really stretched this one out, and this one jar lasted me about a year.

Korres Jasmine Body Butter – Korres is one of my favorite companies, and these body butters are a cult classic. I liked the light scent of Jasmine, but I think I still prefer Guava budy butter, which is my all-time favorite product from their lineup.

basq Citrus Sugar Body Polish – it was a decent scrub and I got a really good deal on it when I bought it from Dermstore using my Beauty Fix discount. I liked it, but not enough to re-purchase, mainly because of the price.

Guerlain Noir G – my HG mascara, and I often try to snatch deluxe samples off eBay or as a GWP, because the actual tube retails for $50.

Clinique Acne Solutions System – I think I got this as a Sephora 100pt perk a while ago, and it’s definitely a good and trusted system if you have skin prone to breakouts. It helped with my hormonal acne, but I just really don’t like the smell.

Murad Eye Lift Perfector – Really weird product, I actually didn’t even finish it and there’s still half a tube left. It didn’t work for me at all, because it flakes off when I try to layer it with an eye cream or a concealer.

SpaRitual Instinctual Moisturizing Lotion – Decent lotion, I used it as a hand cream and it worked well. I liked the light ginger fragrance, and the fact that it’s made without nasty chemicals.

Beauty Protector Detangling Spray – I first got to try a sample of this amazing detangler in one of my Birchboxes. It does exactly what it promises – effortless detangling of even the most hopeless bird’s nests.

L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream – L’Occitane is another one of my favorite brands, and even though I don’t like lavender in general, I find this particular line of products quite pleasant. Aside from the very mild lavender fragrance, this is a classic L’Occitane shea butter hand cream that nourishes and protects the skin.

That’s it for November! How about you, do you have any empties to share?
