Empties: May, June, July 2015

I know I haven’t done an Empties post in a while, but to be honest I just didn’t have that many empty bottles to share. I used up tons of sheet masks and peelie samples though, but I don’t keep those around for my Empties posts anyway. Right now I have a lot of items that have very little product left in them, so I think my next month’s post will have more stuff, but for now here’s what I hit pan on in the past three months.

Find out what products I used up til the very last drop in May, June and July! >> https://glamorable.com | via @glamorableI didn’t get Laneige Water Sleeping Mask the first few times I tried it, but by the time this jar was empty I knew it’s one of the best I’ve used to far. It’s a great hydrating sleeping mask/night cream for any skin type, even oily, and the only downside is the strong fragrance. Would I buy the full size? Not yet, because I have 5 or 6 full-sized sleeping packs from Memebox to go through still, but if I don’t like any of those, I will get this one for sure.

Oribe Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse is not your 80s mousse. It gives my fine hair amazing texture and strong hold without looking crunchy and heavy. A worthy splurge, and I’ll be buying more another bottle soon!

I reviewed Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Shampoo a few months ago here, and it’s still one of my favorite shampoos. There’s no need to compromise between lightweight and hydrating formulas, because this one is both, which is rare for products targeted for fine hair. Another winner that I highly recommend!

Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths are some of the better wet wipes I tried. They work even for sensitive skin, and don’t make my eyes sting like most so-called gentle wipes. I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase them because there are cheaper alternatives that work just as well, but they are quite nice.

It took me a while to go through this huge jar of Londontown Kur Restorative Nail Cream, because it’s quite concentrated. It’s one of the better nail treatments out there, but I don’t think I will purchase it mainly because of the price point.

Crabtree & Evelyn La Source hand cream has been sitting in my bag for months, and I finally finished it a few weeks ago. The fragrance was kind of meh, it’s your typical “ocean fresh” bathroom spray kind of scent, but the cream itself moisturized my hands well. If I ever bought a C&E hand cream again it would have to be either unscented, or something neutral like vanilla.

Milani Total Lash is hands down one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve ever tried. Get. It. Now.

Dermalift Intensiderm Aqua Rich Cream is one of the gentlest moisturizers I’ve come across, and it reminds me of Tatcha’s Indigo products. It’s great, but very hard to find. Luckily, Tatcha goodies are very much available.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum didn’t leave a lasting impression on me or my skin. Maybe I didn’t use it correctly, or maybe I didn’t use it long enough to see any results, but I just wasn’t wowed. Not going to purchase.

SKIN&LAB Dr. Vita Clinic fre-C Sun Protector SPF50+ PA+++ is the bomb for any skin type! This sunscreen does not leave a white cast on the skin, offers both UVA and UVB protection, plays well with makeup, and contains Vitamin C to help fade acne scars and other skin discolorations over time while fighting off free radicals. Amazing sunscreen! If you’re looking for a fancier option to use on your face, this is one of the best out there, and I’m a total sunscreen junkie.

MISSHA The Style Perfect Eyebrow Styler is pretty nice and comes in a whole bunch of different colors. I’m simply tossing it because it’s way past the expiration date. Would I purchase it again? While it’s nice, I don’t think it’s special enough to choose over something else.

What products did you hit pan on recently? Do you repurchase emptied skin care or do you use it as an opportunity to try something else? Let me know in the comments below!
