Latest Korean Skincare Empties

I bet you can’t tell that I went through my Korean skincare drawer, can you? 🙂 As I slowly clear out my beauty cabinets from expired products, I keep finding some that are still in good condition, and squeezing a few final uses out of them. Such is the case with the goodies in this group of empties. Everything you are seeing today I’ve been hoarding for many moons, and it’s time to say good bye.

SKINCARE:

1 // Grinif Queen of Rose Water Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream ($27) – This was one of my favorite Korean eye creams, and such a pleasure to use. It smelled like real rosewater, kept my my eye area soft and hydrated, and even helped with dark circles somewhat. Unfortunately, K-beauty has a crazy high turnaround even for really good products, and this eye cream has been long discontinued.

Repurchase? No. The product has been discontinued.

2 // Tosowoong Snail Natural Pure Essence ($24) – Korean brands love discontinuing good things, don’t they? This serum was perfectly ‘snaily’ and gooey, and worked well as part of my nighttime routine. The formula was also loaded with botanical extracts, Niacinamide, galactomyces ferment filtrate, peptides, probiotics, and even a generous helping of soothing Centella Asiatica extract. Such a shame that I can’t buy this one anymore.

Repurchase? No. The product has been discontinued.

3 // Tosoowong Timeshift AP Therapy Skin Toner ($34) – Korean toners are usually very moisturizing, but this one was a proper astringent. It was formulated with galactomyces ferment, Hyaluronic Acid, snail slime extract, and probiotics, but also a lot of alcohol. That’s the only thing I didn’t care for in this toner, because alcohol tends to make my dehydrated skin even drier.

Repurchase? No. The product has been discontinued.

4 // WondeRuci Cacao Brightening Mask ($17) – This mask was so fun to use! It smells like real cocoa powder, and tastes like one too. Don’t ask how I know that, haha, let’s just say it was an accident. 🙂 It was hydrating and made my skin feel refreshed, but I don’t know if there was any actual brightening involved, aside from the temporary effect. Still, it’s one of the products I enjoyed the most during my days as a Memebox customer.

Repurchase? No.

5 // A’pieu Tea Tree Fresh Mate Sleeping Mask* ($2.79) – I had a phase where I experimented with different sleeping packs to find out which ones work best for my combo skin. Sleeping packs were a novelty even among K-beauty fans back then, and using one was just a cool thing to do. This sleeping mask looks like clear Aloe Vera gel, and it feels very soothing on the skin. It worked well for me during spring and summer months, but my face is just too dry right now for it to have any effect. I’d buy it again though!

Repurchase? Yes, and it’s cheap!
