Latest Beauty Empties & Tosses - via @glamorable #projectpan #empties #skincare #naturalbeauty

It’s been a while since I last shared my beauty empties, hasn’t it? During the past several months I tested a lot of new products, but I didn’t manage to finish any of them yet. However, after clearing out my skincare drawer in December, I came across a few things that barely had any product left in them. It took me maybe a week or two to finally scrape the bottom of these, but at least I can proudly say that I ended 2017 with less waste. 🙂

SKINCARE:

1 // Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream* ($135 for 0.5 oz) – This gentle eye cream does a good job moisturizing the area and dealing with redness and lines caused by dryness. I don’t think it can do much for deep wrinkles, but it does make the skin look smoother and feels comforting on the eyes. I used to love it, but I found products that work better for me.

Repurchase? No.

2 // Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask* ($54 for 1.7 oz) – Skincare with probiotics is all the rage right now, and Tula was one of the first that I featured on this blog. I am very fond of the brand in general, and I like their mission and packaging aesthetic. This is a very lovely bentonite clay mask, worthy of having a backup of, if I didn’t have so many other masks already. It helps gently unclog the pores and makes my skin feel smooth and clean.

Repurchase? Yes, but not anytime soon.

3 // Reviva Labs Hawaiian Seaweed Mask* ($12 for 1.5 oz) – Goodness, I don’t know how long this mask has been sitting in my stash, but I was glad to see it didn’t go bad yet so I was able to squeeze out a couple final uses. This one is clarifying, cooling, and also slightly moisturizing, which is nice when you have combination/dehydrated skin type like me. Also, the jar may look tiny, but a little goes a very long way.

Repurchase? It has been discontinued.

4 // Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm* ($36 for 0.28 oz) – While the lip balm itself is quite nice, it’s the packaging that makes it special. Thick, sturdy glass jar and a pillowy balm adorned with real gold leaf – now that’s luxury! Tatcha recently changed the packaging and now these balms come in plastic jars. They are still gorgeous to look at, but it’s just not the same.

Repurchase? No.

5 // Eraclea Lite and Brite Brightening Serum ($80 for 1 fl oz) – I bought this serum to fade dark spots when I was still dealing with PIH [my post on that here]. I loved the ingredients, but the price point made it unsustainable for my budget at the time, so I was looking for alternatives while using this one. It was effective, but I found products that work just as well at a fraction of the cost at Wishtrend.

Repurchase? No, and it’s discontinued anyway.

6 // Seventh Generation Boost Hydrating Skin Serum ($5.95 for 1.5 oz) – I don’t remember where I bought this, might have been Vitacost, but I know I was lured in by pretty packaging. Seventh Generation is one of my favorite brands for household chemicals. I switched to them because some traditional household cleaning items trigger my allergies, and these are supposed to be non-toxic. Anyhow, this non-sticky, 100% natural beauty oil is great for nurturing the skin’s protective barrier, and it is super affordable! I haven’t seen these in stores lately, so it might be discontinued, but there are still bottles circulating on Amazon.

Repurchase? I have a lot of oils to finish atm, but if you like beauty oils, this one is worth a try!

BATH & BODY:

7 // Farmhouse Fresh Brandy Pear Sea Salt Body Polish* ($34 for 13.6 oz) – This has to be one of my favorite body scrubs! It smells like heaven, and leaves my skin smooth and hydrated. FHF is known for their lovely scents, and every product I tried has been exceptional, including this scrub. Although you can buy FHF products online, the brand is mostly found in SPAs actoss the country. They really do feel like professional quality products.

Repurchase? I totally would!

8 // Molton Brown Rosa Absolute Bath & Shower Gel* ($30 for 10 oz) – Molton Brown body washes are uh-maaazing! They are extremely fragrant and the scents are not basic at all. This is like taking a shower with your favorite perfume that will stay on the skin for hours. Some scents are stronger than others and may even stay all day. Rosa Absolute is one of my favorite lines by Molton Brown, and reminds me of Rose Jam by LUSH which is only available around Christmas time.

Repurchase? Yes! Although my fingers are crossed I get this as a gift, teehee. 😉

What products have you finished lateky? How many beauty products do you typically finish every month? Let me know in the comments below!
