I don’t need to tell you that regular exfoliation is vital for healthy skin, but  with so many products on the market, it’s always hard to pick just one. Hopefully, my review of dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator will help make that choice a little easier.

Read more at >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorabledr. brandt describes their creation as “a unique professional grade physical and chemical exfoliator and pore perfector in one”. Sounds promising, but how does it work, exactly? As it turns out, the secret lies in combining physical power of pharmaceutical grade micro-crystals for polishing the surface [no plastic microbeads, yay!], AHA and BHA that dissolve the dirt and fight blemishes, and everyone’s favorite pumpkin & papaya enzymes that are known for their skin smoothing and anti-aging properties.

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion Review. Read more at >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableDespite its seeming gentleness, this is a highly potent physical exfoliator, and I wouldn’t recommend using it more often than once or twice a week unless you want to risk irritating your skin. Personally, I can only tolerate it once every 10 days, because there are other resurfacing treatments in my routine, including an AHA/BHA toner that I use twice a day.

Read more at >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableFor best results, dr. brandt recommends applying PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator to clean damp skin, so wash it with your favorite foaming cleanser first to remove all traces of makeup, and then scrub away. Finish up by thoroughly rinsing off the gritty residue with lukewarm water, and immediately applying a moisturizing toner or a serum to seal in the moisture. Some of you might be tempted to use it with one of those sonic brushes, but I highly discourage that – these crystals are no joke!

Thanks for the heads up, I might have used this just by habit with a spin brush!

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:53 pm

You’re welcome! My skin always takes forever to recover from over-exfoliating, so I’d never want that to happen to anyone else.

OMG I just love Luna so much… please put her in every post ever, haha! I am definitely interested in trying this- I like to amp up my exfoliation a bit in winter when I tend to get more dry skin!

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:53 pm

Haha, thank you! She is so precious 🙂 Even if I don’t actively plan on including her in every post, she insists on appearing in every single picture. I swear, sometimes I wonder of she knows exactly what she’s doing 🙂

Cute kittie pix! This definitely sounds like a no-nonsense microderm product with those crystals and AHA/BHA. I think my sensitive skin might object, but it sounds like such a winner!

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:54 pm

Thank you! It is indeed pretty fool-proof for someone looking to use a fairly abrasive AHA/BHA physical exfoliant.

  4. October 5, 2015 / 6:26 pm

I tried a sample tube of this and loved it. It removes every blackhead and whitehead and flake, leaving only smooth skin behind – but you’re right, it is abrasive, and I can’t use it more than once in 10-12 days.

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:55 pm

Glad to hear that you liked it as well! It really digs deep into those pores, doesn’t it? And yes, I couldn’t imagine using it more often than I do, mostly because my skin is just too thin.

I exfoliate on the regular. My skin demands it. Luna is the MOST a-fuff-adorable blogging assistant, ever. <3

Haha, thank you! She is precious 🙂

Your cat is so gorgeous. I’m obsessed with your snapchat so I can see kitten pics!!! I tried a sample of the dr Brandt and am definitely a fan of it!

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:56 pm

Luna thanks you for the compliment 🙂 And thank you for following me on Snapchat, sometimes it gets a little crazy in there haha!

  7. October 5, 2015 / 8:25 pm

I gently exfoliate every day and do a deep one once a week.

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:57 pm

Nice! I haven’t worked out an exfoliating routine yet, and just kind of eyeball it. I only exfoliate when my skin seems to call for it, so sometimes I do it more often and other times less often.

What a cute kitten. And Dr Brandt’s products are all pretty darn good.
I exfoliate my face, my body, if I could I would do it daily but I do it 3x a week so that skin wont irritate.

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:58 pm

Thank you! She is a lovebug and wants to be involved in everything I do 🙂 I wish I could exfoliate daily, too, because I love the way my skin feels right after, but I know that’s just asking for trouble.

I considered trying this but I was afraid it would be too harsh for my skin. I’m glad to learn not to use it too often since I might have a sample tube of it.

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:58 pm

If your skin is thin or sensitive, you might want to experiment with a smaller quantity first. This exfoliant is no joke!

    • October 16, 2015 / 10:59 pm

Will do! 🙂 She loves making appearances, and sometimes I just can’t help it when she decides to plop right in the middle of my photography setup.

I’ve been loving using this! It took a bit of trial to see how often I should use it, but once I got that – it was perfect

    • October 16, 2015 / 11:00 pm

Same here, I experimented a little bit to find that perfect interval and amount of product I need for proper exfoliation. Glad to hear you liked it as well, Lisa!

I saw your cat on Instagram and I backed up and looked at it again because it’s beautiful! I miss my kitty.

    • October 16, 2015 / 11:01 pm

Thank you! She really is a little diva, that fluffball.

Your cat is beyond adorable! I have to say I would actually try this to keep my skin glowing. I might grab it next time I am at their counter.

    • October 16, 2015 / 11:03 pm

I think they even have deluxe-sized tubes of this scrub available, so ask for it at the counter for sure.

  14. October 6, 2015 / 2:46 pm

Luna-approved! I like that this has both chemical and physical exfoliants. I want to try it!

    • October 16, 2015 / 11:04 pm

If you have their counter at one of the malls nearby, you should definitely ask for a sample!

    Look at that beautiful kitty!

    • October 16, 2015 / 11:05 pm

Yes, look at her! 🙂 I swear, sometimes I feel like she’s intentionally posing for camera.
