This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #instantlytrending #DovePartner #TryDry http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
I was thinking long and hard how to start this story in kind of a subtle and classy way, but I’ll just say it like it is: on the days when I am extra active or very nervous, I sweat a lot. Like, a lot-lot. Unfortunately my regular deodorant just can’t keep up with my body trying to cool itself down, so I end up not only wet but also stinky.
Many of you know I switched from antiperspirants to deodorants a few years ago, but that doesn’t mean I completely eliminated them from my beauty routine. After all, nothing beats a good antiperspirant when you need a fool-proof guarantee that the skin stays dry all day long. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to partner with Dove, so on my last trip to Target I picked up new Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirants [$5.49 for 3.8 oz, available at local drugstores] in Original and Soothing Chamomile to try.
According to the company, Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant Original has a light and fresh scent and includes Dove ¼ moisturizers, while Soothing Chamomile contains a unique combination of Dove ¼ moisturizers and vitamins E & F to helps soothe sensitive underarm skin. Both antiperspirants are said to deliver 48-hour odor and wetness protection.
I used to get by with small travel-sized antiperspirants, but lately there are just too many occasions when I would need one, so grabbing something new to try from a brand I already love seemed logical. One of the main reasons for excessive sweating these days is taking a hike down to the beach where I take product photos for this blog when the weather allows for it. Our house is right on the shore of Lake Michigan, so aside from beautiful sunsets we get to enjoy our own private cove with a lovely wooden staircase. However, the hill leading down to the beach is very steep, and that’s a lot of stairs to climb for someone who is a bit out of shape, which results in [you guessed it!] more sweating on my part.
Just in case you are curious, here’s what the lake looks like from atop the hill leading down to the beach in late February… Icebergs!
So far I’ve been using my new Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirants on and off for two weeks on days when I expected to be extra active. I liked that I could just spray and go without having to wait for it to dry or worry about visible residue. Both Original and Soothing Chamomile didn’t irritate my skin, and always left it velvety smooth to touch.
Long story short, Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant has got you covered when it comes to wetness and odor protection. Make sure to check out their NEW Original Clean & Soothing Chamomile varieties next time you are out and about. To learn more about the dry spray trend visit dove.us.
