Cult Nails Doppelganger Swatches and Review

Purchased by Me *PR Sample*

My previous glitter top coat post got a lot of pageviews and repins, so here is another one for you. This time I’m showcasing a fabulous holographic top coat that can transform any creme polish you got bored with into something new and unique. Ladies [and gentlemen?], meet Doppelganger by Cult Nails!

Doppelganger is a Limited Edition shimmer top coat that came out as part of the Deceptive Collection in 2012. Here’s the official shade description:

“Doppelganger is another sheer top coat that transforms your existing polish by giving it a “dusty” feel while adding a familiar multicolored shimmer.”

The first polish I layered it with ended up being my favorite combination. This is one coat of Doppelganger over two coats of Square Hue Portsmouth.

The second swatch is two coats of Doppelganger over two coats of essie Tart Deco. There was a bit of a formula clash, so I actually saw some ridges between the layers.

And this last swatch is one coat of Doppelganger over two coats of *lakur Guarded Jewel*. I love how the base color got completely transformed!

All Cult Nails polishes are free from formaldehyde, camphor, toluene and DBP.

Aw thank you Betzy 🙂 I picked them at random, I’m sure if I actually tried to coordinate the colors better the outcome would have been more interesting.
