If you follow me on Snapchat, you might have seen the unboxing of IT Cosmetics Limited Edition Most Wished For Holiday Palette. When I first took it out of the cardboard packaging, I couldn’t believe how beautiful the palette was and how large it is for the size! On the outside it’s a compact square-shaped little box, but once you expand the inner compartments, it’s like a solid tabletop MUA station that has every neutral-toned color under the sun for creating amazing Holiday looks. The palette is sold exclusively on QVC, and it’s a steal for the price.
Here’s what’s inside:
- 18x 0.019-oz Naturally Pretty Eye Shadows
- 6x 0.012-oz Blurred Lines Lipsticks
- 4x 0.015-oz Bye Bye Undereye Correctors
- 3x 0.088-oz Bye Bye Pores Blush
- 1x 0.132-oz Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder
- 1x 0.183-oz Hello Light Powder
- 1x 0.113-oz Hello Light Creme
- 1x 0.132-oz Sunshine in a Compact Bronzer
Impressive, isn’t it? When closed, the palette is roughly the size of two hands put together, so it will fit inside most everyday purses. The contents make it very travel-friendly, too, because I don’t see the need to pack any additional blushes, highlighters, concealers and the like.
One thing that separates IT Cosmetics palettes is the quality. You might have noticed that the formula of products in most palettes is slightly worse than in standalone products. We’re talking less pigmented eyeshadows, less creamy highlighters, more fallout, chunky glitter, etc. IT Cosmetics Most Wished For Palette has none of that nonsense. There were a couple eyeshadow colors that could have been better formulated, as you will see in the swatches below, but for the most part the quality is on par with the rest of It Cosmetics lineup. I commend the brand’s dedication to affordable quality, and can’t say enough good things about this little treasure. If you are still looking for a gift for your mom or BFF, this is a safe choice that they will love using for years to come.
Here are 5 groups of swatches for you, guys. They are taken top to bottom, left to right, so you can easily see where they belong in the palette.
Here are all of the products from the left wing: a shimmery champagne Hello Light cream highlighter and nine Naturally Pretty Eyeshadow singles.
These are the swatches of the right wing: shimmery gold champagne Hello Light powder highlighter and nine Naturally Pretty Eyeshadow singles.
This is what the center of the palette looks like. We have four ultra pigmented Bye Bye Undereye Correctors, Sunshine in a Compact Bronzer, and a translucent Bye Bye Pores Pressed Setting Powder. It looks whiet-ish in the swatch, but it’s actually invisible when applied to the skin.
These are the swatches of 6 shades of Blurred Lines Lipstick from the bottom compartment. Some of them are very pigmented like true lipsticks, and others are more sheer like lip gloss. They all feel amazing on the lips!
Finally, these are the Bye Bye Pores blushes from the bottom compartment. I love the mix of colors and finishes!
This palette is perfect for anyone who loves traditional neutral hures in their makeup. The colors here are mostly warm-toned, so if you prefer cool undertones, there may be other palettes that will work better for your needs. On me warm shades look the best, they make my pasty complexion look healthier and more radiant without much effort on my end. I want to give a special shout out to the shimmery peachy pink blush [the leftmost one among the blush pans] that looks like a beautiful dupe for NARS Orgasm. I think I like it even better, because the shimmer particles are much finer, so it gives my skin some subtle shimmer without looking too glittery and emphasizing the pores.
