I love trying new perfume, something about the ability to smell different depending on my mood makes it almost feel like magic. This Summer I made two major fragrance discoveries – Hermes Un Jardin series and CLEAN fragrances. While I can’t exactly purchase several Un Jardin bottles without breaking the bank, CLEAN products are very much affordable and are well within my comfortable spending range.
Take a look at this adorable mini-rollerball collection for instance. It’s ideal for someone who wants to try different CLEAN fragrances that are absolutely perfect for the season. This particular kit includes the following scents:
- Air – mountain air, bergamot blossoms, lush greens, freesia, aldehydes, peony, musk, white amber, cashmere woods.
- Warm Cotton – citrus, verbena, fruits, florals, amber, musk.
- Cool Cotton – Italian bergamot, green apple, lemon zest, mimosa blossom, mint, cotton, peach skin, musk, amber.
- Rain – melon, daffodil, watermint, daisy, water lily, violet leaves, musk, woods.
- Skin – honeydew, lotus blossom, fresh air, blue rose, aquatics, vanilla, amber wood, white musk.
These scents are beautiful on their own of course, but what makes CLEAN fragrances so unique is that all of them can be paired with one another without creating an olfactory clash. Currently my favorite combination is two swipes of Air with one swipe of Skin, which create a perfectly fresh and warm blend that smells great even on a very hot day. Think of it as a fragrance version of a no-makeup makeup look, it smells nice, but not too strong, and doesn’t take away from your natural skin.
Rain and Cool Cotton is another interesting combo that makes it feel like there’s fresh breeze around you, and it also smells really clean. You know that clean feeling you get after brushing your teeth? Same general idea here: it’s like you just put on lightweight cotton clothes after they finished drying on a clothesline outside. A very refreshing fragrance combination!
This particular rollerball collection is currently sold out everywhere I looked, no surprise there, but you can get individual mini-rollerballs at Sephora to create your own unique pairings.
WHERE TO BUY: $8 to $20 per rollerball, or $18 for a Limited Edition set. Available at Sephora.

I love rollerballs for perfume. They are so handy to keep in my purse. I haven’t tried Clean Scents, but the little colored bottles look so appealing.
Same, I always have at least 3-4 different ones sitting in my cosmetic bag that I move from purse to purse. So convenient!
I love rollerballs and these would be so convenient to travel with. Lovely pictures!
Thank you Heather!
I smelled these in store and loooove them. Very fresh
Agreed, those are some of the freshest scents I’ve smelled. I think they might be THE freshest fragrances in my stash actually.
I am also obsessed with this brand! And great photos BTW!
Thank you Jen! I am a new CLAN convert, but I can see now why everyone raved about them so much.
My blog partner is our fragrance writer and she adores these.
Glad to hear that, Marcia!
Warm cotton sounds so amazing, citrus!
Yum! I’m all about citrus for Summer 🙂
Clean scents are so fresh and lovely!
Agreed!
I love Clean Skin. I envy people with your ability to layer fragrances. I just end up smelling like a perfume counter.
You are so sweet Nidia! Layering is actually very easy if you do it with with simple fragrances that don’t have too many notes 🙂
I love CLEAN! Their fragrances are never overpowering
Agreed! I can wear most of these even on the days when I have a migraine.
I absolutely love these!
Glad to hear that!
I love CLEAN scents! I wear them into work since they are much more “work” friendly
Right on, Lisa, these are all very much work appropriate.
