I’m sort of in the middle of stash decluttering right now, throwing away expired products etc, so I’m finding lots of BNIB things I haven’t even tried yet, and this polish was one of them. Bump & Grind was released as part of China Glaze Texture Collection for Summer 2013, so it must’ve sat in my closet for at least a year!
Bump & Grind can be described as a cool dark rose creme, that sets with a slightly gritty finish, sort of like eggshells, but not super scratchy like Zoya Pixie Dusts. The formula was on a thicker side, but in my experience, most textured polishes are like that. In the swatches here I’m wearing two coats of Bump & Grind, with no base or top coat.
The wear time was pretty good on me, I’m on day 6 right now and there’s no chipping whatsoever, and I only have minor tip wear on one of my pinkies. I bet it will last all summer if I use it for pedicure.

such a pretty color! ♥
Wahoo! So glad someone else appreciates it, too 🙂 Sounds like this whole collection was majorly overlooked by many nail bloggers last summer, because I haven’t heard much buzz about it at all.
i prefer textures with sparkle in them but this shade is really pretty!
I kind of agree with you, I mean nothing can really beat Zoya Pixie Dusts in terms of absolutely epic gorgeousness, and Godiva will always have a special place in my heart, but there’s just something charming about this modest eggshell effect.
I am utterly obsessed with this color. HOLY cow it is gorgeous. And I am so not a texture person, but I think I am in love!!!
Giirrrrrl, me too! I don’t even understand how I could totally forget about this polish for a year, it’s just too pretty!
You know at first I hated textured polish but now I’m digging them! I wish it had a bit of sparkle in it though for me to buy it.
I know what you mean, it took me a while to “get’ the whole textured thing too, but now I’m really liking those.
Very pretty shade and this textured polish I actually like.
Glad you found one textured polish that you like!
Beautiful! I like this color on you.
Thank you!
This is kind of like the rubberized texture of the china glaze full throttle collection but… amplified!
Haha, now that you mention it, it does kinda look like those rubbers.
I love the color but the texture reminds me of when I mess up my nails.
That was my initial thought too, it’s like I forgot to put on top coat or something… which I find oddly alluring! Am I weird?
These are pretty! I wish they had a bit of sparkle to them though!
Indeed, I find sparkly textured polishes to be prettier too, but I love a good matte now and then.
This shade is very pretty
Right? Bright, and fun, and perfect for summer!
Love this polish!!!
Yay, so happy to hear that you also like this one!
Love this color I just don’t care for textured polishes–I can’t quit touching them!
Haha, you and me both, I looove touching them, I almost find it therapeutic on some level.
That is the perfect shade for Summer!!
Agreed!
that is a pretty summer shade
It really is 🙂
I really like the color, I don’t know that I am a fan of the texture though.
The whole textured thing can definitely be a hit or a miss. Do you like glittery textured polishes or don’t care for any texture at all?
This shade is beautiful!
Glad that you like it!
Pretty color, but I’m not a textured gal, either.
I’m not into textured effect too but this shade is screaming gorgeous!
I love textured polishes, but I prefer them with sparkle, usually. The matte black China Glaze is an exception. This one I think I’d prefer with topcoat, because the color is gorgeous, but I don’t like the matte pebbly look.
I really really like it. I’m not sure there are many colours I would like to see that texture with but this one is definitely working.
soooo pretty!
What a gorgeous shade for summertime!
It’s the perfect strawberry shade!
Love the color!
Your swatches are really beautiful!
I love the texture polish. Especially in this color – super pretty!
