After looking at them I decided to try Vixen because the other two options just wouldn’t go well with my skin tone. I first applied three coats of the creamy side to make sure I have maximum coverage. Three coats were definitely unnecessary since these lipsticks are highly pigmented, but my lips felt a bit dry so I wanted to apply more to keep them moist.
The colors are actually a lot brighter in person compared to the pictures on Covergirl’s website, so I wasn’t sure if any of them will suit me at all since I prefer more of a bold eyes+muted lips look. I feel like my lips don’t have a particularly pretty shape so why bother accentuating them at all. However I would love to be proven wrong and find just the right lip product to make them look pretty. Unfortunately this lipstick isn’t going to be that product. I could instantly smell the chemical scent which is a very major turn-off for me and for many other people I assume. Too bad because the colors are gorgeous and very fashion-forward, I can totally see these combos being on a runway.
Pros:
- Long-lasting color
- Sophisticated shades
- Very pigmented
Cons:
- Feels dry on the lips
- The shimmer side feels too “grainy”
- Chemical smell

I agree with your review 100%. The cons are spot on. This lipstick is very dry, it transfers and the shimmer side is grainy. Like you, I still really like it because it’s very pretty.
