Boxycharm by Ipsy April 2024 Unboxing & Review

Can you believe it’s already April? This month Boxycharm by Ipsy is all about the chill vibes and coming out of hibernation to embrace the first blooms. This Earth month, we’re keeping things natural with plant-based formulas, floral scents, and spring-inspired beauty products that would make the most ordinary day feel extraordinary.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each month as Boxycharm by Ipsy subscriber you will receive a new box with a mix of 5 full-sized beauty products customized according to your beauty profile. Members can watch videos and play along with the stylists, all for only $28/month ($200+ value). Click here to check it out.

IN THE BOX:

1 // iNNBEAUTY Project Slushy Serum Moisturizer ($32) – This is one of the choice products this month, and it’s a good one! I tried several things from the brand and they’ve all been lovely. This moisturizer is super hydrating and it’s perfect for dry and dehydrated skin. But even if you’re more on the combo side, it’s still not too heavy and you can use it without feeling like you’re overloading your pores. 5/5

2 // Lunar Beauty Moon Prism Blush Palette ($35) – This is my first time trying anything from Lunar Beauty by Manny MUA, and so far I’m impressed. The powders feel soft, pigmented, and finely milled so it’s easy to pick up even with delicate fluffy brushes. The palette’s packaging is gorgeous, too – I love all the holo coating and etched moon shapes! The downside is it’s a little bit bulky; I probably wouldn’t travel with it, but you do get a lot of product in each pan so there’s that. There’s also a good variety of shades, from the palest pink to deeper terracotta. 4.5/5

3 // Koa Life Detox Face Mask ($40) – It’s a mud mask, and if you have oily or combo skin, you probably already use these. I didn’t think it was all that much different from the others that I tried, certainly not enough to make it stand out, but it was nice and did what it was supposed to – cleared excess oil from the pores and slightly mattified the skin. 4/5

4 // Buxom Plump Shot in Dolly Babe ($29) – This is one of the most popular plumping lip glosses on the market, and it’s actually really good at making the lips look fuller while also adding a touch of color. It definitely stings, but the effect is worth it IMO. Dolly Babe is like a slightly warm-toned mauvey pink without any shimmer that looks natural on the lips. I’m not super into plumping products, but if you’re a fan, you will probably like these. It wears and lasts as long as a typical lip gloss would – just reapply to re-plump. 4/5

5 // Lithe High Definition Gel Eyeliner in Coffee Bean ($26) – Never heard of this brand before, but apparently they’re famous for their falsies and accompanied products that enhance eyes and brows? This eyeliner is honestly excellent – very creamy and easy to apply, and the little brush on the other end of the pencil helps make that wing even more perfect. It’s the product I didn’t know I needed, and now it’s my go-to. The only thing that would make it more perfect is if it had a long-lasting formula. 4.5/5

BOTTOM LINE:

Two main highlights this month: iNNBEAUTY moisturizer and Lithe eyeliner pencil. Both are going straight into my routine and I fully plan to use them up. Other products I was happy to try and they’re going to be cycled in and out of rotation are the Lunar Beauty blush palette and Koa Life mask, but I don’t expect to finish either one because I just have so many other choices and nothing about them stands out above my current favorites. And the only product that I’m going to rehome is the Buxom lip plumping gloss, I’m just not really into plumping products but I know this is a really good one and deserves to be used by someone who enjoys these.

What do you think about the April Boxycharm box? Which of these products would you be more excited to receive?
