Beyond Her Blush July 2016

Hi dolls! I bet you didn’t expect a post on Sunday, but I just couldn’t wait to share this new beauty box with you! Today I am unboxing Beyond Her Blush July 2016 box, which was created in collaboration with the owner of Starlooks Cosmetics makeup artist Marci Lieberman. I remember when Starlooks first launched their own beauty box several years ago. At that time Marci used to make demos with all of the products in the box, and they were so fun to watch. Alright, let’s see what’s inside my Beyond Her Blush box this month!

CONTENTS:

1 // Starlooks Perfect Size Matte Lipstick in Rawr [$12, available here] – This true matte hot pink color is ideal for summer nights! Even though the color leans cool and I prefer warmer shades, surprisingly it looked pretty nice on my fair yellowish complexion.

2 // Starlooks Mechanical Ultra Longwear Eye Pencil in Jet [$16, available here] – While a black eyeliner in a makeup box is a total cliche, I would like to be objective here. I’ve always loved Starlooks eyeliners back in the day, the quality is seriously amazing. They are soft, glide over the skin like silk without dragging, and are super duper pigmented. This retractable eye pencil is a prime example, as you can see in the swatches below. It’s rich, creamy, and truly black.

3 // Starlooks Mechanical Ultra Longwear Lip Pencil in Sultry Sangita [$9, available here] – This versatile lip crayon can be used as a matte lip liner, all over lip color, or to create the trendy nude ombre lip looks. I personally love wearing it with my Colourpop Ultra Satins to make the lip contours more defined.

4 // Starlooks Luxe Longwear Eye Liner Pen in Black [$19, available here] – This liquid eyeliner pen was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Very often these kinds of eyeliners are either dark grey instead of black, too watered down, or start feathering immediately after the application. That’s one reason why I’ve always preferred potted gel liners. However, this one was pitch black, dried almost immediately, and didn’t smudge all over. I think it will be my next go-to!

5 // Starlooks Ultra Gem Pencil in Ultra Olive [$9, available here] – I already have a couple of these gem pencils in other shades, but this one fits my hazel eyes the best. What a beautiful dusty green it is! The crayon is incredibly smooth, and has all the best qualities I’ve come to love about Starlooks eyeliners. This one is seriously worth every penny if you’re into glittery liners.

6 // Starlooks Gold Coast Eyeshadow [$9, available here] – Last but not least, I got this travel-sized eyeshadow single. Although really it contains as much product as the company’s full-sized single eyeshadows, except this one has different packaging. I like this color a lot actually, it reminds me of two of my favorite taupe shades from Burberry – Rosewood and Pale Barley. Gold Coast is in the same neutral shimmery taupe family with just a smidge or dirty rose mixed in. It’s one of those eyeshadows that you can wear all over the lid and it will actually look great. This will definitely be my go-to everyday shade for Fall!

BOTTOM LINE:

Wasn’t this a pretty box? The products inside are all incredibly wearable, and the quality of everything is truly outstanding. I am particularly fond of that liquid eyeliner, the formula and the packaging couldn’t be more perfect. Who knew that a black eyeliner in a beauty box can be exciting, am I right?
