I don’t know about you guys, but we had some serious blizzards here last week! When I went grocery shopping the roads were so bad, we could hardly see a thing. Now the weather is changing like crazy and it’s actually 52 degrees outside, but winter isn’t over yet and The Weather Channel says it’s highly likely we’ll get more snow before it warms up for good.
So today I thought I’d share the best snow day products that kept me warm and cozy when the world outside was coated in white and the last thing I wanted to do is go out.
1 // Waking up in the morning and seeing all that snow outside always makes me want to jump in a hot shower. I have a wide variety of body washes to choose from depending on my mood, and of course the blizzard mood calls for something warm and milky, like Perlier Honey And Lavender Bath & Shower Cream [$25 9.79 for 8.4 oz, available here]. Just the name alone sounds like it’s perfect for winter! You know what else it’s good for? De-stressing after a long day. I’ve been a fan of Perlier for a very long time, and while some of their products worked better than others, the body washes are definitely up there in my top 5. This one has a gentle low-pH non-stripping formula and looks like a milky lotion. It also smells divine! It’s not a natural fragrance, but it sure smells like one, and it’s perfectly subtle yet strong enough to linger on the skin for a bit.
2 // Another favorite, Perlier Kaki Elasticizing Moisturizing Milk [$30 $11.89 for 6.7 oz, available here] is like comfort food for your skin, but without the calories. It did make me crave a large slice of a homemade sweet potato pie though, but who’s judging? This body milk is one of those magical products that feels lightweight, yet has the moisturizing power of a rich body butter, so even someone with oily skin can use it without the fear of clogged pores and body breakouts. I remember one time about 2 years ago I got a really bad case of bacne all because I used a body butter that was too rich, and it was in the Summer too. Should’ve known better, I know, but lesson learned now. Zero issues with this one so far!
3 // While my body is perfectly fine with lightweight moisture, my hands crave some serious TLC. I confess that I am not that great about wearing gloves in the winter, and I don’t wear them when I do laundry either, so my hands always feel extra dry. I tried, like, a gazillion of different hand creams and found a few gems that are worth every penny, like this Aesop Reverence Aromatique Hand Balm [$27.29 for 2.5 oz, available here]. This rich balm comes in a squeezable metal tube and looks like something you’d get at a European pharmacy. This concentrated treatment will help revive dry hands and cuticles, while delivering aromatherapy properties [hence the name – aromatique]. The woody-herbal fragrance is strong, almost overpowering, but it’s natural so it doesn’t feel cloying. All in all, I love this hand cream!

I’m a major Perlier fan so both of the products you got sound so enticing. I had a travel size Honey Miel bath creme and I loved it.
Ooh, I remember getting a travel size of that bath creme from iFabbo ages ago – it was fabulous! I need to revisit it 🙂
You are experiencing the exact same type of weather we are here. These products sound divine! I did a spa night last night and my skin was feeling so good, fast forward to this morning and we got 4 inches of snow after a week of 40-50 degree weather. Now I feel like having a pity party! lol
A SPA night sounds amazing! Our weather is extra crazy because of the whole lake effect thing, but the weather people predict a very warm spring, so I’m definitely looking forward to that.
The Perlier lotion is delicious and my skin loves it. The fragrance is a bit strong for me though.
Perlier has a wide range of body products and some of them are very lightly scented. The formulas are always great though!
Shower cream sounds nice!
It’s been one of my favorites this winter.
Oooh the shower cream with honey sounds amazing. I love honey in skin care!
Me too! I especially like honey in my face products.
Love Perlier, they have so many nice scents!
I agree! They have a really good “nose” for pleasant fragrances.
That moisture milk sounds so luxe! And I love the sound of that hand balm. I love thick hand creams for bedtime, or to slather on while I’m watching some TV. I’m also bad about wearing gloves!
Not wearing gloves is probably the main reason why my nails have been breaking like crazy this winter. I made a promise to myself to do better 🙂
It’s been a while since I’ve visitedFragranceNet. Need to soon
You should check it out! They’ve got Chanel, Tom Ford, and NARS makeup (and many other awesome brands)
I love Perlier and Aesop, and the Honey Miel range is divine. Haven’t tried the shower cream, though.
It’s very gentle and has a low pH formula, which is great for the skin in general. And the fragrance is super comforting!
Same here, I need to check out FragranceNet.
They’ve got a great selection of luxury cosmetics that you might be interested in! (including your fave Tom Ford)
I have not heard of that site before but I should soon 🙂
They’ve been around since the 90s, longer than most famous beauty retailers. You should check it out!
Oh snow days…..I miss the days just not the snow! I do love chili and hot cider on a cold day though! That paired with the tv, remote, and my family – perfect!
Chili and hot cider sound amazing! I always associate cold days with comfort food and hot drinks 🙂
I’ve never tried Perlier’s shower creams or skincare products, but I love their body balms and hand creams (especially the Honey Miel). Now you’ve got me curious! All this talk about snow days is making me feel all warm and snuggly. Maybe I’ll hibernate until spring officially arrives.
I can’t wait for winter to be over, I’m sooooo not a snow-loving person. I remember getting their Honey Miel cream from ifabbo ages ago and it was wonderful!
