Nubar Nail Polish in Pinktober was custom made for this month’s boxes, so you could say it’s a limited edition color. The shade can be described as a mauvey medium pink creme with cool undertone and glossy finish. It will look super cute as a mani or a pedi!
Happy Hands HappyFace Makeup Cleansing Cloth is literally a piece of cloth that you soak in warm water and gently wipe your face with to remove all traces of makeup, no additional product needed. Magical, isn’t it? I was skeptical until I tried one of these, and now I’m hooked! Since I already have three of these cloths from another brand, I’ll give this one to my Mom, because she sometimes doesn’t remove all of her makeup and goes to bed with a “close enough” attitude. I don’t blame her, I remember doing the same during college years.
Pink Knotty Hair Ties are super adorable! I actually use elastic ties like these all the time, but only when I’m at home. I love that they don’t leave ponytail dents, so I can put my hair up in a twistie bun and unroll it later to get naturally formed waves. Easiest curly style ever!
There are kabuki brushes, and then there is Ferro Cosmetics Pink Rhinestone Kabuki Brush, that looks totally girly and glamorous! With super soft synthetic bristles and weighty handle, this brush is actually better quality than I anticipated. I did experience shedding after the first wash, but after it dried the remaining bristles stayed intact so far.
Styli-Style Perfect Pout Long Lasting Balm Stick smells like vanilla frosting and looks very trendy on the lips. It feels balmy, but not slippery, so I can wear it for 2-3 hours without touchups.
THE VERDICT: I thought this was one of the best boxes so far, and not just because we got that nice kabuki brush. Beauty Box 5 covered all the bases by giving us makeup, tools, nail, and hair products from various price ranges; and this kind of variety is always welcome, because most people who get subscription boxes want to try all of their goodies at once. Well done, BB5!
