Why, hello there, November Beauty Box 5, fancy seeing you on my doorstep! My box actually arrived a little late, and I wanted to show you the contents ASAP, so I’ll be brief. This month’s theme is Gracefully Grounded, and the samples are all body products, because graceful girls give their bodies lots of attention. Let’s see what’s inside!

HASK Macadamia Revitalizing Shine Oil – I try to show my hair some love more often around this time of the year, because even when I wear a hat, the ends are constantly exposed to cold air, wind, snow, and drastic temperature changes, so oil treatments are a must, and argan oil is one of the best suited for the task.

This bottle may look small, but it’s actually a full-sized product, that should be used very sparingly. Beauty Box 5 recommends applying a small amount to the ends after conditioning to help nourish them and seal in the moisture, making the damage less noticeable. It smells really good! For my collarbone length hair I used a pea-sized amount, and it instantly tamed the frizz and added some nice shine to my lifeless locks.

DenTek Floss Picks + Case – Hey, I already use these, and they’re my favorite floss picks! I have them scattered everywhere in my purses and cosmetic bags, so they’re probably not in the most sanitary condition, but I had no idea DenTek made cases for them.

I’m loving all things purple right now, so the color of the case is perfect, but they also come in green, blue, orange and pink. It’s like one of those things that you never knew you needed until you start using it, and suddenly it’s a HG/must-have status item.

Afterfeather Refillable Travel Bottle – Now that I have a bunch of travel-sized products I rarely use refillable travel bottles anymore, but this one is so cute! I’m loving the bottle design – black scattered dandelion seeds over white matte plastic with black cap. It looks like a good quality container, way better than the ones from my old dollar store kit.

I still think I’ll probably give it to my Mom, because now that she’s retired, her and my Dad travel a lot, and she always complains about having to pack full-sized beauty products that all weigh a lot. Afterfeather bottles can contain 2 fl. oz. of product [TSA approved], and come in two different designs: Dandelion and Peony.

Laura Ashley Body Butter – I don’t remember where heard about Laura Ashley, but the name rings a bell. The scent I received is called Spring Lavender, which is not super appropriate for the season, because you know, it says “Spring” on it. The formula is just okay, it’s the usual petrolatum/mineral oil with cocoa butter, beeswax and glycerin – nothing fancy.

I really like their retail packaging, though, it’s very chic and comes in stylish giftable boxes, and the prices don’t bite. I wish I had a Boots store in my area, it would be fun to explore their products in person.

Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash – I already own a full-sized bottle of this body wash and it’s pretty nice. It has that signature creamy-milky Dove fragrance that feels very comforting, I think it even reminds me of my childhood.

Even though the formula contains SLS it’s placed well below soybean and sunflower oil on the ingredient list, which would explain why this body wash is more moisturizing than others.

THE VERDICT
Beauty Box 5 delivered on its promise to pamper the body, and the products fit the theme really well. My favorite samples this month are DenTek floss picks & case and HASK hair oil, and I can see myself using them a lot.
