beauty-box-5-march-2015-unboxing-review-010Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Creme – I wrote about my positive experience with Elite Therapeutics moisturizer before, so I expected to love this body cream as well. One sample tube is enough for one full body application and delivers hours of comfortable moisture without the stickiness. It smells so fresh, too – perfect for Spring!

Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewEslor Introductory Collection [Second Edition] – We already received the first edition of Eslor’s introductory sample kit in June 2014 box, but this one contains a whole different set of samples. Last time I became a fan of the Calming Mask, but this time I fell in love with Botanical Peeling Gel. You are supposed to let it sit on the skin for 5-10 minutes while it works its magic, then gently rub your face to have all dead cells roll off in chunks. Not only is it a fun experience, it also leaves my skin extra clean and very soft to touch.

Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & Review, nanacoco mascara swatch Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & Review, nanacoco mascara swatchNanacoco Scandalous Mascara – There were several colors of this mascara sent out, and I got the classic black, which is what I hoped for. I’m not a mascara snob and usually coat my winks with either drugstore or low end department store products, because I think there isn’t that much difference between the formulas. The trick usually lies in the brush, and Nanacoco got theirs right – it’s full, fluffy and large enough to cover every lash. I thought this was a great quality mascara for $4.99.

Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & Review Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewStyli-Style Line & Seal Twist Mechanical Eye Liner – There were assorted colors sent out, and I got the perfect one for my hazel eyes – Raisin – a brownish purple with subtle violet sheen. I hate sharpening my eye and lip pencils and almost always purchase twist-up ones, so this kind of packaging is right up my alley. I don’t know about other shades, but the formula for this particular shade is not super pigmented, however it’s soft, blendable, and buildable, so the intensity can be easily controlled. I actually gave away all of my black eyeliners and only use colored ones these days – more fun that way 😉

Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewThe final product from March Beauty Box 5 was another Nanacoco goodie – Laugh Out Loud Lip Gloss in a variety of colors. Mine was Ballerina – a classic rosy mauve that unfortunately makes my skin look grayish because it clashes with my undertones. The formula feels nice on the lips, even though it’s a little sticky, and the pigmentation makes the color show up well and stay for at least 3 full hours. I think my sis is going to inherit this one.

Beauty Box 5 March 2015 Unboxing & Review, nanacoco mascara swatch , laugh out loud lip gloss ballerinaTHE VERDICT: I thought it was a fun box to play with, even though the lip gloss didn’t work for my complexion. Beauty Box 5 covered all the bases by offering skin, body, and makeup products, all from different price ranges, which is one of the reasons why I really like this company.

The eslor mask sounds good. I want the body cream.

I thought I would like that mask the best, but it’s the peeling gel I was most impressed with – such fun concept!

That lip gloss is so pretty and the body cream sounds heavenly.

Body cream is so fresh – perfect to use in the morning because of its uplifting aroma! And the lip gloss color is gorgeous indeed, I just wish the color worked for me, but at least I know someone else who might like it so it’s not wasted 🙂

What a seriously great box! All brands I’ve never heard of, but so intriguing. I would love that Raisin eyeliner. And I like Ballerina too; sorry it didn’t work for you.

    • March 24, 2015 / 5:30 am

Ballerina is a beautiful color on its own, and I was really hoping to wear it this Spring, but can’t argue with undertones 🙁 I wish it looked good on me, but it just makes my skin look gray.

That mascara looks great! I love the brush head.

    • March 24, 2015 / 5:28 am

It’s nice and fluffy, I was pleasantly surprised 🙂

  5. March 23, 2015 / 8:23 pm

Ohhh I like the looks of the liner.. IDK what shade I got yet but I hope the pigment’s there!

    • March 24, 2015 / 5:28 am

Looking forward to seeing what you get, Brooke!

I like the Raisin eyeliner, but wish it were a little darker. I have way too many black eyeliners, but I couldn’t give them ALL away! I’m in love with my UD Perversion eyeliner. It’s blacker than my soul..

    • March 24, 2015 / 5:28 am

Yeah, I think it would look better if it was a bit deeper and purpler. Other than that, no complaints! And now that you mention it, I think I might actually have a sample of black UD eyeliner that I got from Ipsy still laying around somewhere – those are great.

Not familiar w/ any of these products but I have to say I’m intrigued to try at least one. Btw, your page is loading slow for me, maybe 15 seconds?

    • March 24, 2015 / 5:08 am

Yikes, thanks for letting me know! It’s supposed to load super fast, so I’ll have hubs look into it when he wakes up.

    • March 24, 2015 / 10:05 pm

It’s a gorgeous plummy color! I wish I had two of them – one in this exact shade, and another one slightly more purple and darker.

  8. March 24, 2015 / 1:36 pm

That lippy is nice. I don’t recall I have heard of most of these products. Since I cancelled Ipsy I’m looking forward to trying BB5 once they start shipping to Hawaii 🙂

    • March 24, 2015 / 10:07 pm

I’m thinking of canceling my Ipsy subscription as well, mostly because I’m really swimming in stuff lately. Maybe taking a small break would get me excited about receiving those bags again in the future, but so far I think April might be my last month with them for a while.

Looks like you got a really fun box! I like the eyeliner.

    • March 24, 2015 / 10:07 pm

Glad you like it too, Justina! The eyeliner is a very pretty color, indeed.

I would use everything in that box!

    • March 24, 2015 / 10:07 pm

I can totally see you rock those colors, Cindy!

    • March 24, 2015 / 10:09 pm

Raisin is so pretty! I love when you wear that color as an all-over eye shadow, it’s such a flattering hue on you. No, seriously, you probably rock it better than anyone I know! <3

      • March 24, 2015 / 10:17 pm

Awww you’re too sweet! I always put Clinique Black Honey in that category & I just ADORE that liner too!

        • March 25, 2015 / 8:26 am

Ohh, yes I remember your Black Honey linkup post. That color is so perfect 🙂

I think that box looks pretty good. the gloss is pretty!

    • March 25, 2015 / 8:27 am

I loved the color of the gloss too, but dangit, it just clashes with my undertones and makes my skin look gray. Well, at least it’s a pretty shade, so finding another home for it won’t be difficult 🙂
