Donnamax Printed Nail File is a handy tool to have in your purse at all times, and the protective case will ensure that all that nail dust doesn’t scatter all over your cosmetic bag or a bag pocket. There were assorted colors sent out and mine had this flirty-looking pin up girl that says “Maybe we can #hashtag sometime”.
Some of my blogger friends already raved about Hask Beauty Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment, and I’ve been dying to try it, too! According to the info card, there were several different types of conditioning treatment sent out, and I got the nourishing one. It’s just as fabulous as they say, because it gave my hair the softest and silkiest texture ever. Too bad the effect is temporary and went away after the next wash, but it’s a killer treatment to use for a special day.
And another full-sized product! Beauty Box 5 really went all out this month, didn’t they? Seems like everyone received the same shade of Starlooks Luxe Longwear Eyeliner Pen – a Fall-perfect Plum, which looks exactly like a dark plummy burgundy. It was very easy to apply and I had no problems wearing it all day on my oily lids. Surprisingly, the removal was a breeze as well, not what I expected from a long-wearing product. I used my regular two-phase remover, and the liner came off without a trace. It is in fact water-resistant and rub-resistant – I did both and my line didn’t budge.
Jerome Alexander Hot Stuff Go Pop Compact is a little kit with three powder eyeshadows and three lip colors. The protective silicone case is detachable, but I like keeping it on because it looks fun and makes me happy. What can I say, I’m still a kid at heart! So far I only tried the eyeshadows, and two of them were just okay, but the purple one in the middle was really nice and pigmented. They wore well over primer but faded a little by the end of the day.
I am normally not a fan of this brand, but my skin’s been feeling irritated for a couple days now and I had to use something ultra-soothing for the daytime under my gentle sunscreen, so I grabbed a sample of Pur~lisse Pur~moist Hydra-Balance Moisturizer. It has a very gentle unscented formula that works well for sensitive skin. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it, but it served its purpose when my skin needed an extra-gentle occlusive.
THE VERDICT: This was probably one of the best boxes so far, with some very nice and very fun products. The product I loved the most and will probably purchase again in the future is HASK hair treatment. It was a real treat and my hair just drank it up!
