I don’t have a proper disclosure for this one because I rarely enter contests, but when Alyson from The Beauty Vanity raffled three goodie bags filled with new 100% Pure makeup releases, I knew I had to participate! I ended up winning one of them and thought I’d share my thoughts on the products with you.
My goodie bag included three brand new products: Maracuja Mascara in Black Tea, Maracuja Oil Sheer Air Cushion Foundation in White Peach + Refill, and Mattifying Primer. Everything was tucked inside the cutest pink makeup bag with bunny prints on the outside and carrots on the inside. Squee!
The first product I tried was, of course, the cushion. I’ve been really into cushion foundations lately because they worked well for me if I need to do touch ups on the go, and it’s just something different from my usual foundation + beautyblender routine.
100% Pure describes it as a “super sheer, light coverage face makeup that evens skin tone and leaves a dewy, hydrating glow.” While some products that are marked as sheer lean more toward medium coverage, this one is indeed as sheer as it gets and may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I would probably recommend it for people who have generally good skin without breakouts or visible redness. Maracuja Oil Sheer Air Cushion Foundation will slightly even out the skin tone and give your complexion a healthy dewy glow, but it won’t do much else. If price is not an issue, I think it would also make a nice starter item for teens and tweens who are just getting into makeup.
The formula is 100% natural and doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals; it really feels like a lightweight moisturizer rather than a foundation, so I usually end up wearing it on my lazy days at home. I still prefer slightly more coverage when I go out, so this probably won’t become my go-to product, but anyone who doesn’t like to wear too much makeup will enjoy Maracuja Oil Sheer Air Cushion Foundation quite a bit.
I had trouble making the color show up in the swatch, but it’s there! I chose White Peach, which is two shades darker than I would normally go, but the color sheered out on my skin nicely, so if you’re thinking about grabbing this one don’t be afraid to experiment and go a shade or two darker – it might be just what you need.
Maracuja Oil Sheer Air Cushion Foundation currently comes in six shades, from very pale to true medium. There are currently no darker options available, but I’m sure they will be added eventually, considering that the brand’s regular foundations run pretty deep.

The next product I tried was the new Mattifying Primer. I already have a plethora of primers I regularly use and love, but I don’t think I’ve ever had one like this! This 100% vegan formula contains some very nice ingredients, including aloe leaf juice, olive-derived squalane, and vegetable glycerin that top the list.
100% Pure says this “silky feeling primer makes makeup last longer and fills in lines and wrinkles to make skin smooth so makeup looks flawless”, and I think the formula delivered on its promise. This primer is my favorite of the three products I got to try, and now it’s my go-to for summer makeup. I sometimes end up skipping the moisturizer and apply the primer right on top of my serum and sunscreen, and I haven’t broken out yet. If you could buy just one makeup product from 100% Pure, this is the one I will recommend!
Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Leaf Juice*, Glycerin (Vegetable Glycerin)*, Olive Oil Squalane, Seaweed Collagen, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Euphorbia Cerifera Cera (Candelilla Wax) Camellia Sinensis (Organic Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Silica, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, Oregano Extract, Thyme Extract, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower and Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Seaweed Collagen (as mentioned on the front) *Certified Organic
Lastly, the new Maracuja Mascara is an ideal product for people who are sensitive or allergic to most mascaras. While it doesn’t quite give my lashes the oomph I get from chemical-filled formulas, it performed quite well for being 100% natural. The formula is infused with many natural oils and waxes that care for your lashes, making them stronger and more resilient to damage.
I personally think it’s a good everyday mascara that moderately lengthens and thickens the lashes. Its true value, however, lies in the formula, because it allows people who normally can’t wear mascara add some drama to their makeup look without causing unpleasant side effects, like rashes and teary eyes.
