Update: At this time I no longer recommend doing business with Bondi.
Lady Liberty is one of the prettiest greens I own, and I think it deserves the status of an “iconic shade”. As you might have guessed from the name, it’s the exact color of Statue of Liberty, which is pretty much the symbol of NYC and it also represents America as a country to the rest of the world. It’s a very patriotic color, and could be a nice change of pace from the traditional red white and blue 4th of July manis.
Lady Liberty was released as part of Spring 2013 Collection. Here’s the shade description from Bondi website:
“Pledge your allegiance to this swag. A baby blue-green shade that will make you want to raise your hand in the air…and wave it like you just don’t care. Polish never felt so patriotic.”
I also wanted to compare this shade to my Tiffany jewelry baggie just to see how close it gets to tiffany blue, and it’s quite a bit greener and darker than the pouch.
The polish was very easy to work with; it’s highly pigmented and it can even be a one-coater if you’re one of those people who are super good at painting your nails evenly. I’m not that pro yet, so in these swatches I’m wearing two coats.
All Bondi New York polishes are free from formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, toluene and DBP.
