February sure went by fast, but I still managed to empty a few products. Most of them are travel-sized samples, but even using up a sample is already an achievement 🙂
purminerals CC Cream in Light – Got this sample a few months ago from Birchbox, and it just didn’t work for me at all. The color is all wrong, and the product just cakes off my skin. This sample was just sitting in the drawer, and I thought it’s finally time to toss it.
Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray – This company actually makes setting spray for Urban Decay, and the formula is pretty much the same. It’s a decent spray if you need a product like this, but I decided I don’t use it enough to justify the cost, so I won’t be repurchasing.
Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist – This little sample has a light grassy fragrance to it, and makes the skin slightly tingle after the application. It was fun to play with, but I won’t be purchasing the full-sized bottle.
Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair – I only need a small dollop to make my hair feel stronger and look visibly smoother, so it definitely works, even if it’s just a temporary effect. I am considering purchasing the full-sized version, that’s for sure.
Lollia Hand Cream – This fabulous mini hand cream was a nice addition to my makeup bag, and I finally used up the last bits of it. I may purchase more if there’s a good coupon code or a promotion going on, because I think it’s a bit pricey otherwise. In terms of overall feel and effectiveness, it reminds me of L’Occitane hand creams. If you like those, you’ll like this one too.
Hydroxatone Revitalizing Microdermabrasion – This jar lasted me forever, because I only did these treatments once a week, and used a pea-sized amount for my whole face. It provides very gentle exfoliation, but I don’t think it’s suitable for sensitive skin. Right now I’m exploring other exfoliating options, but if I come back to micro abrasives, I will probably get another jar of this.
Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask – My dry split ends soaked it up like a sponge! This mask is fabulous, just like all Moroccanoil products I tried so far, and if I find a good deal, I will definitely purchase more.
Caudalie Divine Oil – I really like this oil; I used it all over my body, and even on my hair. However, I found a cheaper alternative from c. Booth, so my wallet is doing a happy dance right now.
Naturopathica Espresso Mud Body Scrub – Fabulous body scrub, one of the best I’ve tried to date! It’s a bit pricey, but I really like the way it smells and how it makes my skin look and feel after the shower. I will be on the lookout for a good deal on this one for sure.
L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream – IMO, one of the best products from this brand, and if I could only buy one thing from the entire lineup, it would be this moisturizer. Both my mom and I adore it, because it makes the skin look radiant and well-rested, among other amazing things it does to our complexion.
GUD Body Mist – I wasn’t too impressed with this body mist, because it didn’t seem even remotely moisturizing, and the fragrance didn’t linger either. I do love GUD body butters though, those are fantastic!
TATCHA Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream and Enriching Renewal Cream – Tatcha is the kind of brand that makes you seriously reconsider your position on skincare. Several of my friends who tried their products later had to save up for full-sized versions, but the result was totally worth it. I love Tatcha too, they’re on my skincare wishlist, and I plan to invest in a regimen when my financial situation allows for it.
It must be fun to revisit all your empties and think about what you loved – or didn’t – about them! I should make an effort to do that, plus it would make me think about actually *finishing* a product once in a while!
That’s exactly why I have this monthly feature, Nidia! It gives me an incentive to really make an effort and finish those half-empty bottles, as well as being able to go back and see what products I liked and disliked 🙂
Shame about that Gud body mist, I had been curious about that one!!
It might work better for you, since everyone’s skin chemistry is different, but it seriously was a waste of money for me.
Kudos for your empties! ….and thanks for reminding me that I have to post mine too, LOL!
I look forward to seeing yours! 🙂 It’s probably one of my favorite blog features to follow.
Yay for empties. I need to stop throwing them out… I am super bad about that. lol I always get excited about empties because it reminds me of what I loved and why I loved it 🙂
You should try collecting them in a separate bag or box or something, just so you don’t have a bunch of empty bottles sitting everywhere 🙂 I think this would be a fun monthly feature for your readers to enjoy.
That’s a lot of empties! I so need to start keeping track of mine!
You should! I would love to see your empties post some day 🙂
WOW! You have a lot! I never have enough to be worthy of a post… maybe one post a year lol Other than my HG’s but that would be so repetitive =(
Even if you just have a couple things, it’s always worthy of a post 🙂
Love the morrocanoil intense hydrating mask! I bleach and colour my hair once a month and this mask makes hair look and feel amazing, great empties post! These are always my favourite to read and do 🙂
Happy Friday!
Happy Friday to you too, Kaileigh! 🙂
Agreed, that mask is absolutely divine!
Dang! You have a ton of empties. I can barely get through 2 or 3 in a month LOL.
I didn’t used to have many empties either, but I have a goal to use up a lot of products this year, so I’m trying to stick to my resolution, and so far it’s helping 🙂
I love most of the gud products and I have to agree, the body mists don’t have much scent and they certainly don’t linger.
Yeah, I really wish that fragrance lingered, because all gud products smell so delightful!
TATCHA is fairly expensive but it is absolutely worth it
Agreed, their products are so gentle and effective.
You have so many empties
Thanks, Betzy! I’ll take it as a compliment 🙂
We share quite a few empties this month 🙂 Great minds 😉
Nice! Do you think you’re going to make a post about them, too? I would love to check it out 🙂
I always love empties posts -wish I remembered to save mine!
