For all admirers of this royal flower and its decadent bittersweet fragrance Memebox released a special edition Rose Scentbox, filled with a nice mix of full-sized and sample-sized products that feature rose scent and extract. These boxes were on sale for a mere $15 a pop, so I grabbed one, knowing that I will be getting a good deal.
HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Evas Rosemine Floral Remedy Foam Cleanser – The first thing I noticed was of course the feminine retro style packaging with pretty roses and pink stripes. I can totally see these patterns and colors in my grandma’s house circa 1950s! The tube is huge, and will probably last me several months. I haven’t actually tried it yet because I have too many other cleansers to take care of, but from what I read about it, looks like most bloggerss liked it a lot.
Evas Rosemine Plumpy Tint in 01 Roseberry – A lip tint that smells like roses? Sign me up! When freshly applied, the color looks like a beautiful glossy cool red; leaving a subtle berry pink tint after it wears off. I love using tints on my cheeks and lips in the summer so I don’t have to worry about my makeup melting off. By the way, these lip tints are infused with rosewater and ginseng to provide plumping, moisturizing and anti-aging effects.
Happy Bath Rose Essence Body Wash – What a wonderful body wash! It smells amazing, and really turns my shower into a rose garden. Everything about this bottle is super girly, from pretty packaging to pastel pink formula with pearly shimmer. It takes a little longer to lather up than my regular body wash, but the cloud of fluffy rose-scented bubbles makes it worth the effort.
Hope Girl Magic Skin Primer – As a little bonus Memebox included several sample packets of this primer. I tried it once so far and it’s actually quite pleasant. It has a pinky lavender shimmery color which helps create that “glow from within” effect when worn under foundation or BB cream. I wouldn’t purchase the full-sized bottle of it because it felt a little heavy, and my skin just can’t take a lot of product [it gets irritated and bumpy very quickly if I wear too much makeup or if it’s too heavy]; but it might work for people looking to add some subtle radiance to the skin.
THE VERDICT
I think this was a beautifully curated box! The products were fun to play with, and I like that not all of them smelled like a single note rose. I discovered that I’m really liking that body wash, and I might even purchase more in the future in all different scents from some discount place, like Gmarket or Korea Depart. The lip and cheek tint was very lovely, too, and will definitely get used a lot this Summer. Overall, I feel like I got my money’s worth with this box.

Hi Mackenzie! I’m using my super old Canon T1i, and edit all the pictures in Picmonkey, then add watermarks in Photoshop. As for the collage at the top, I made it using Canva. Hope that helps!

I agree. the scent boxes were total winners in my book! I loved them all and was really only interested in Grapefruit and Rose, but got the third with the BOGO deal.
I ordered the new scent trio and I am hoping it is just as fab.
Hi Sara! Like you, I was mostly interested in Rose and Grapefruit, so the bundle was the way to go. I hope you love the next trio! I only ordered the Sweet Shop variety, but I’m sure I’ll regret it when I see everyone’s unboxings 🙂
