Korean Beauty Empties from old Memebox Boxes - via @glamorable

Today my empties pile consists of Korean beauty products that I got back when Memebox was still doing the whole “box” thing. I actually had most of these products sitting around half-finished, so I decided to just use them all up in a quick 2-week swoop. Keep in mind, some of these may have been discontinued and are no longer available for purchase.

SKINCARE:

1 //Boscians 5th Edition Cycle Repair Whitening Spot ($8 for 15 ml) – I used this cream for a little bit when I first received it. It was supposed to help with hyperpigmentation, but honestly I didn’t notice any changes after using up the whole thing.

Repurchase? No, I believe it’s been discontinued.

2 // Bioen Aqua Essence ($72 for 30 ml) – This watery, slightly sticky essence was an absolute treat to use, and I was sad when I emptied out the bottle. It was deeply hydrating, but never felt overwhelming on my skin even during the summer months. The formula contained many organic plant extracts and other soothing ingredients.

Repurchase? No, I believe it’s been discontinued.

3 // Migabee Cooling Mask Clean 3 in 1 and Hot Pore Peeling System ($32 for 1 set) – I got these two as part of a set, and they are supposed to unclog the pores better and gentler than a pore strip. You use the hot mask first, then peel it off and use the cooling scrub and finish with a witch hazel spray, which I threw away long ago. I found this system too gimmicky, to be honest, and I would rather just use a pore strip.

Repurchase? No, I believe it’s been discontinued.

BATH & BODY:

4 // Derma:B Daily Moisture Body Lotion ($24.99 for 13.5 fl oz) – This lotion was so ancient, I’m surprised that it was still in perfectly good condition. I guess storing it in the fridge helped! I must say, the lotion was a pleasure to use and it’s about the only thing on my list that is not discontinued. Derma:B in Korea is like Aveeno or Cetaphil to us, it’s a household staple gentle daily lotion suitable for the whole family. I loved using it, and I recommend picking up a bottle if you fancy trying something new.

Repurchase: Yes, and it’s not discontinued!

I know this was a very short empties post, but I figured instead of just tossing these I can at least document my final experience with them for posterity.

What products have you finished this month? Do you use Korean skincare in your beauty routine? Let me know in the comments below!
