My Stitch Fix boxes keep getting better and better, because the stylists have a better idea of how things fit me, what colors and patterns I like and other details, based on the product feedback I provide after receiving my fix. In the month of April I got five amazing items, selected by my favorite stylist Bridget, who actually looks at my Pinterest board for inspiration.

HOW IT WORKS
In a nutshell, Stitch Fix is a personal shopper service: for a $20 styling fee a specially designated Stitch Fix stylist will put together a package full of fashionable items, all according to your style profile. This fee will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment, and if you choose to keep it all, you will get an extra 25% discount. After you get the box, it’s very simple: try it on, keep what you like, and send back everything you don’t want within 3 days in a convenient prepaid envelope. You can choose either to get a one-time fix, or to subscribe on a monthly basis. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Tracy Marquis Earrings by Bella Boutique |
Please don’t pay attention to the mess in the background, I’m in the middle of spring cleaning so there’s stuff all over the house. The images are also lower quality than usual, because my box arrived on the dreariest of days, so I had to use software to artificially brighten them.
The first item I unboxed was a pair of gorgeous sterling silver Tracy Marquis Earrings by Bella Boutique [$42 ARV]. These earrings were large and dainty at the same time, but hung a bit too low, nearly reaching the shoulders. If I had a longer neck I might have liked them, but they didn’t look nearly as great as I would have hoped.
Isla Striped 3/4 Sleeve Pocket Tee by Splendid // Wisteria Weave Detail Knit Tank top by Mystree |
The second item was a pair of Emer High Waisted Cropped Trousers by Margaret M in Cobalt [$98 ARV], and oh my word, they fit me like a glove and the color is perfect! These are “cropped”, but I have very short legs so they look full length on me. These leggings are made with stretchy material and sewn in a way to instantly make anyone look 10 lbs slimmer [those are the actual claims on the pants]. The higher waist hides any flabs and rolls in the tummy area, visually improving the silhouette and giving me extra confidence. I know, almost $100 for a pair of leggings is insane, but I love them. Bridget, you nailed it! <3
Next item I tried on was Wisteria Weave Detail Knit Tank top by Mystree in Light Grey [$48 ARV]. I liked the neutral color, the weaving detail, and the lightweight feel of this tank, but I didn’t love it. It fit perfectly on the top, and flared up closer to the bottom, which actually didn’t look that great on me. Maybe if it was slightly longer it would have fit me better? I’m not saying it looks bad, but I just wasn’t blown away.
Robby 3/4 Sleeve Striped Wrap Dress by Tart // Emer High Waisted Cropped Trousers by Margaret M |
There was one more top in my fix this month – Isla Striped 3/4 Sleeve Pocket Tee by Splendid in Coral [$58 ARV], and it was really splendid! It looks very basic, but it’s probably one of the most comfortable materials to ever touch my skin, and it fits me like a glove. The colors are beautiful, and I really like the perforated fabric, making it a great layering piece for Summer. Needless to say, I kept it.
And the last item was Robby 3/4 Sleeve Striped Wrap Dress by Tart in Black [$68 ARV]. It’s made of a very soft material, and feels like a comfy thin robe rather than a dress. I thought the fit was just okay, mainly because the dress tied above the waist line, making my hourglass shape less prominent, if you know what I mean.
Sorry for terrible lighting, it was an awfully dreary day 🙁 |
THE VERDICT
I think Bridget did an amazing job styling my April fix, and as frugal as I am when it comes to clothing, she even got me to buy those pants and the shirt. I’m very happy with the clothes I received!
I love the dress, it’s so cute!
Glad you like it! 🙂
That wrap dress is cute on you!
Thank you 🙂 It’s super comfy, too, but I just don’t think I was ready to dish out $70 for it.
Cute pieces!
Glad you like them! 🙂

Thank you Honey! I wish it wasn’t so pricey, or I would have kept it 🙂

that tank is awesome and I probably would have bought it because i love simple pieces that can be mixed. those pants look awesome on you!
The tank is really well-made, I would have probably bought it if I wasn’t already getting those pants and 3/4 sleeve shirt. And thank you!
LOVE the dress especially!
Glad you like my fix! I had a really hard time picking items to keep 🙂
Love that dress! Great concept. I’m loving she looks at your pinterest board for inspiration, sounds like they hit the nail on the head with this one!
They really did, I’ve been very happy with my past two fixes. If you ever order a box from them, make sure to request Bridget as your stylist, she does an amazing job every time!
The prices are a little high for me, but when you find a great piece of clothing that you know you’ll wear and looks good on you, then it’s worth it!
I agree Nidia, I normally shop at slightly lower price ranges, but these pants and shirt totally lured me in.
Both tops are really pretty !
Glad you like them too, Betzy 🙂
