Quick & Easy Watercolor Nail Art Idea

It’s been a while since I last did a nail post. Truth be told, my digits have been in horrible shape this winter – bendy, weak, and breaking whenever they snag on a sweater or a scarf. As I’m going through early Spring cleaning in my desktop folders, I came across several pictures of this quick and easy watercolor nail art idea, that anyone can replicate. I call it “swipe-swipe-slap”.

1. The base coat can be any nude or light color, here I’m wearing two coats of Nailtini Frappe that I got in an Ipsy bag. Off-white shades really make that watercolor effect pop!

2. Now, take a bright sheer jelly nail polish – like one of these OPI Sheer Tints in Be Magentale With Me and Don’t Violet Me Down – and swipe a semi-thick line along the length of your nail. It doesn’t have to be neat.

3. Repeat Step 2 with a different sheer nail polish, layering it roughly over the first color. Again, just one quick swipe is enough.

4. Slap on some glitter on the tips, and seal everything with top coat.

Enjoy!
