Hey ladies! Did you have fun yesterday? I sure enjoyed spending time with family and catching up on my favorite blogs. Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to start thinking about New Year’s Eve. Do you normally do something special, or just relax at home? Whether or not I’m going to a party, I still think it’s fun to dress up and spend a little extra time on hair and makeup, and today I want to show you something I came up with recently while playing with Mirabella Faerie Collection.
The collection includes Swirling Pearl Brilliant Highlighter, Myth Visionary Long Wear Eye Shadow, Gossamer Colour Luxe Lip Gloss, Luminosity Colour Luxe Lip Gloss, and a set of five travel-sized brushes.
In my opinion, the highlighter is undoubtedly the star of this collection.
Those shiny waves are simply majestic!
And the lip glosses are both stunning as well. I love wearing the Gossamer [the pink one] on its own, and top my matte and satin lipsticks with Luminosity for some glorious sheen.
Let’s not forget about the eye shadow. It has bouncy whipped texture, and a spongy-cushiony feel to it. The pigmentation is truly outstanding, and once the form,ula sets it won’t budge, even after vigorous rubbing.
The model in the promo image looks very angelic, but I decided to take a different approach and do something dramatic instead. After applying foundation, concealer, and filling in the eye brows, I used Myth Visionary Long Wear Eye Shadow as an eyeliner and as a dark vampy lipstick. It looked a little dry on the lips [of course it would, it’s an eye shadow after all], so I added one coat of Luminosity Colour Luxe Lip Gloss. After that I swiped some Swirling Pearl Brilliant Highlighter over my cheekbones and smudged a little bit under the brow bone and my super quick dramatic New Year’s Eve look was done!
