Multi-tasking oil blends are nothing new, but in my experience very few of them were worthy enough to purchase. I tried dozens of different ones, and at this time I have three favorites: Tatcha Camellia Beauty Oil, long discontinued L’Occitane Biologique Very Precious Regenerating Concentrate, and Olie Biologique Huile Radicale 005 Rejuvenating Oil. Make that four, because Monat Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive deserves to be up there with the best of them.

What makes Monat oil so good? The formula includes a proprietary blend that mimics the body’s natural oils, which in turn helps normalize the skin and hair. This blend includes eight components, sourced from the suppliers around the world that meet the brand’s strict requirements for ingredient purity and worker well-being, so you can be sure your money isn’t supporting Chinese sweatshops and child labor.

The main ingredient in Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive is abyssinian oil, obtained from crambe abyssinica plant that grows in Central Africa. It contains a very rare combination of fatty acids that mimic the effects of silicons and penetrate into the deep layers of the skin to protect, nourish, and hydrate. In addition to baobab, buriti, camellia, carrot seed, monoi, meadowfoam, and moringa oils, this is some serious treatment that can improve the condition of skin and hair. The formula has a pleasant sweet citrusy scent to it, which I found refreshing and uplifting.

iFabbo [blogger network that graciously sent me this oil] gives six weeks to review a product, and that’s exactly how long I’ve been testing it for. I used it for all parts of my body: face, body, hair, scalp, and even cuticles.

Face: I’ve been massaging five drops of oil into my skin every other day as part of my evening routine, and always woke up with soft and smooth-looking complexion.

Body: To apply this oil on my body I added a full dropper to some plain unscented body lotion and that worked wonders. Since the oil is so precious. I only used this mix once a week after thorough body scrubbing.

Hair: You really don’t need much to get amazing results, especially if your hair is fine like mine. I used maybe 2-3 drops to nourish the ends and add mirror-like shine to my locks.

Scalp: During cold months here in Michigan [try five months of snow last winter] I have to use some kind of scalp treatment, because it starts flaking and itching, even though I normally don’t have that problem. I massaged a few drops of oil into my scalp every day in the PM, and the flakiness was reduced considerably, while the itching is pretty much non-existent.

Nails: I also tried this oil as a cuticle treatment, and while it works really well, I thought it just wasn’t worth it, considering the price of the product.

The packaging of Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive is consistent with most beauty oils out there – sleek tall bottle with a dropper inside, and a plastic stopper to prevent wasting the product. It grabs just enough oil for one application so it’s hard to overuse it. Smart move!

Monat Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive does not contain phthalates, PEG, DEA/MEA, sulfates, parabens, harsh salts, dyes, and harmful artificial fragrances. Just the good stuff.

Do you need this? If you are a big fan of beauty oils, this one is definitely worth a try. I think it worked best for my scalp and hair, but I also liked that it made my skin feel soft and plump after every use. I think it can benefit people with all skin and hair types, unless, of course, you are allergic to one or more ingredients.
