The Beauty Council is a new bi-monthly linkup series where we will discuss buzz-worthy season-appropriate topics, share our favorite beauty products, tips, makeup looks, and even nail art. In this post I wanted to show you a some items I already bought paired with a few things freshly added to my seasonal wishlist that I’m planning to pick up soon. Best part? I split them into Splurge vs Save categories, because everybody loves a good drugstore dupe!
LIPSTICKS
Every Fall I reach for two opposites – deep wine/berry lip colors and nude matte or semi-matte shades; and as always, there are so many to choose from! I already splurged on Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipstick, and now I also want to try both mattes from Milani Fall 2014 Limited Edition Collection.

NAIL POLISH
I don’t know about you ladies, but I’ve always been a fan of darker jewel tones for Fall/Winter. Right now my favorites are Chanel Taboo [it’s on my wishlist after seeing swatches online], and OPI Russian Navy, which is close in color, but has a tad more blue. I don’t think I need both of them, so I’m still deciding whether I should finally splurge on Chanel or just grab the OPI while it’s on sale at drugstore.com.

PALETTES
This one was easy! I purchased tarte Amazonian Clay Rainforest After Dark Limited Edition Palette a few weeks ago and I already got more use out of it than all my other palettes combined. Seriously, if you love neutrals, this one is a must-buy. I was also thinking about getting Guerlain Écrin 6 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Rue de Passy, but the steep price tag keeps me away. Only reason I even considered it was because September is my Birthday month, so I feel like splurging on fancy things.
