Memebox (미미박스) Special Scentbox #3 Grapefruit

purchased

About a month or so ago Memebox offered three very unique scent-themed boxes, and at only $15 each I had to have them all! The first one I want to show you had Grapefruit-scented products in it. As a huge fan of all things citrus, if I only had to choose one box, this would be the one for sure. Without further ado, here’s what I got!

HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Evas Mimi Lauryne’s Dress Perfume Mist de Grapefruit – Quite possibly the best room/linen fragrance ever. It’s a beautiful mix of citrus and florals, and if it was just a bit more long-lasting I’d even wear it as a perfume. This elegant spray features notes of grapefruit, lilac, orange flower, violet and musk, which come into play all at once, so it’s not like a typical fragrance that has base notes, heart notes etc. It smells so exquisite, that it actually reminds me of fancy Jo Malone room sprays that I adore.

Kael28 Sun Killing Grapefruit Gel – Memebox says this gel works like a toner, emulsion, essence, cream, soothing and sleeping pack, but to me it has “after sun body lotion” written all over, because it’s basically an aloe vera gel infused with grapefruit extract. Like any other aloe vera gel, it absorbs well without leaving a trace, while soothing, cooling and moisturizing the skin. I use it every time after I have to spend more than an hour outside, and it’s just an overall great product.

Pure Smile Hydro Gel Choosy Fruit – You’ve already seen me try on a similar mask in my most recent Memebox Mask Box post, and these work the same way. It’s like a super-effective lip treatment that deeply hydrates even the most hopelessly chapped lips. I’m seriously impressed with these lip patches, and wish they were available locally so I wouldn’t have to pay crazy shipping costs to get them from Korea.

Happy Fam Deo Fresh Grapefruit – Memebox says these deodorizing wet wipes are used for freshening up during the day, and I use wipes for that exact same thing, so it’s nice to have a spare. The wipes are moderately moist [not soaking wet or anything] and really seem to make me feel clean again, leaving a nice powdery finish to help the skin feel fresh longer.

THE VERDICT
For me, this box was a hit! I feel like it was a steal for $15, mainly because of the room spray, which is faaaabulous! I’m super happy to have two more lip masks to use, and I just ran out of my aloe vera gel. And of course I could always use more wet wipes, I go through those like they’re going out of style 🙂 Stay tuned for two more Scentbox reviews!
