TATCHA Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream Review: Gentle and Effective

By now you probably already know that TATCHA holds a special place in my heart [and in my beauty cabinet], so you won’t be surprised to read yet another rave review. Today I wanted to introduce you to one of the best eye creams I have tried to date – Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream.

TATCHA describes it as “an intensive eye cream with deep anti-aging properties, that nourishes and purifies skin, resulting in a decreased appearance of puffiness, dark circles and eye spots.” The cream works for all skin types, even for people with sensitive skin and those wearing contacts.

I don’t really have eye spots and my dark circles are genetic due to thinner than normal skin in that area, but I do have a few bad habits that make my eyes look puffy, especially in the morning, so I was hoping this cream would help me make them more manageable.

I started off by applying an eye serum with SPF [I layer all of my skincare with my favorite SPF serums], followed by Revitalizing Eye Cream. The cream itself is actually packed quite densely in the jar so don’t let the tiny container fool you, because that 0.5oz will easily last several months. The consistency felt very thick and rich at first, but soon as it came in contact with my skin it melted slightly, which made it spread easily. The cream has a faint natural floral fragrance, present in all TATCHA products, but it’s fairly weak, and I can only smell it in the jar. Speaking of jars, read this post if you want to know how I deal with products in jar packaging.

I discovered that Revitalizing Eye Cream actually works really well as an eye makeup primer, it sure seemed like my concealer went on better and stayed longer. Not that I don’t have an actual primer, but it’s nice that I won’t need to layer so many products anymore.

I’ve been using this cream daily for 7 weeks, and to be honest, I noticed the results I’ve been waiting for after the very first night. My eyelids are always puffy in the mornings, but that day I woke up and they looked totally normal. So far I have tried only one other eye cream that delivered similar instant results [from a well-known high end brand], however, TATCHA Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream just feels better on the skin, and features a more natural ingredient list.

THE VERDICT
Seven weeks was an unnecessarily long test drive, but I can say with confidence, that this is as good of an eye cream as it gets. I noticed instant puffiness reduction on both my top and bottom eyelids, and the effect was consistent. I didn’t notice any brightening of my under eye circles, but mine have genetic origin, and need to be treated with products that are specifically targeted make the skin in that area thicker. I would recommend Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream to people with all skin types, even sensitive, because it has a very gentle formula that makes the skin around the eyes look healthy, moisturized and well-rested.
