Dermalogica products consistently made it to my personal monthly favorites lists, and when I found that Skin Hydrating Booster is available in iFabbo shop, I was really excited, because I never tried this type of formula before.

In a nutshell, Skin Hydrating Booster is like a supplement for your current skincare. Dermalogica describes it as a “hydrating fluid concentrate that relieves dryness and fine lines. The formula features Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol, Glycolipids and Algae Extract help restore moisture balance.”

This clear and slightly thick concoction looks like a serum, but I can see it being used instead of a moisturizer. The formula is very concentrated: three drops was all that I needed to thoroughly nourish my combination skin. Dermalogica also recommends mixing a few drops in your other skincare and bodycare products, that way the formula will enhance the properties of your lotion or moisturizer, and it will also be easier to spread.

I actually found another non-conventional use for this miracle liquid – it heals scabs like nobody’s business. We all hate those hard patches of skin, but we also know that they are essential to protect the damaged area, which is why it’s always a bad idea to peel them off or mess with them in any way if we want to avoid permanent scarring. One day I applied Skin Hydrating Booster on a scab just because I wanted to see what it does, and that was a eureka moment!

The booster seeped through the scab down to the damaged tissue to repair and moisturize that fragile new skin underneath, then next day the scab just slid off. That’s right, it didn’t fall off, it literally slid off! And what’s more amazing, is the skin in that area looked fine – a little bit pink, but mostly healed, with no signs of scarring whatsoever. I actually tested this method two more times to make sure this wasn’t a fluke, and it worked every time.

I also noticed that whenever I applied this serum to my skin, it got plumper within 10 minutes and stayed that way for many hours, however, that effect was temporary and faded by the end of the day. Hyaluronic Acid is one of the few ingredients that can be relied on to deliver consistent results and gradually improve the condition of your skin, so I had no doubt in my mind that I was going to love Skin Hydrating Booster. In case you are wondering, some other reliable ingredients I trust are Retinol for wrinkles/exfoliation/brightening, Salicylic Acid for acne/brightening, and Glycolic Acid for exfoliation/softening/brightening.

THE VERDICT
I am really excited that I discovered this unconventional use for Skin Hydrating Booster, and I look forward to using it for that purpose in the future. Ladies with dry skin will also benefit from its fabulous moisturizing properties, but really it’s great for just about any dry spot on your body, even feet.
